With all the negative reviewers are very true. Ricky is not the person you want to work with which I am not going to elaborate. He would do anything to take advantage of you to make you pay extras because they know you are bound and want to desparetly move. Only 1 person is working, the rest was utterly clueless and lazy.

A1 movers did a great job of moving my first floor one bedroom apartment to my new one bedroom second floor apartment. They were quick, efficient and polite. Danny was very communicative during the process and listened to me when I mentioned some boxes needed to be handed with care. The price was great, and each time I called the receptionist answered all my questions with patience and was very professional. I will be using A1 movers again! Use this moving company!

This was my first time ever using a moving company and I have to say I am very impressed. My dad was even shocked that they were able to pack up everything from my storage On the truck in about 15mins and bring it to my apt in SW Houston and unloaded everything neatly and carefully under 2 hours time. Edgar and I believe the other gentleman name was Raul did an amazing job thank yal again so much. They even accommodated me with a military discount And called the day before for check in. so I highly recommend this company all across the board quick, they were on time, professional safe and pleasant

Myself and my partner recently used A1 Houston Movers to move from 2 apartments into a single story home. We had Edgar (and I'm ashamed to say I missed the other gentleman's name) both days for both moves.
They arrived on time and got to work right away. They were very efficient and careful with all objects. I quite enjoyed the conversations with them and the banter between them, it made the move that much more pleasant .
My move was done in under 2 hours which I found impressive. It was also at a price that couldn't be beat. The second move was done in just over 2 hours but that was only due

Unprofessional company. I have bricks lining the gate to my yard so my small dogs do not escape. An employee of A1 Houston Movers took the large brick from my yard to prop open the door to the apartment complex. My dog got out of the yard through the gap the employee left in my yard. Thankfully, I caught my dog before she got too far down the street. It was very unprofessional for the employee to remove the brick for his own convenience. The company should have the foresight to see it may need something to prop doors open so it does not take property from someone's yard.

Please do not use this company and look for something else. I scheduled a move with the company and they sent me movers from another company. The other company broke my dresser from Z Gallerie, chipped my nightstand and chipped my new house front door. All they were willing to do was "patch it up" or give $97. This is not a professional or honest company. Full of fraudsters!

These guys were great! We had three guys move and halfway pack for us out of our 4 story townhouse into a two story home in 9 hours (in 100 degree Houston heat) they were so quick and very careful with our stuff. Will definitely only be using them in the future. Not sure why they don't have great reviews on yelp, they have a ton great reviews on Angie's list.

A1 Movers have moved me twice and the service was excellent.
Ricky and his 2 team members were really professional and friendly. Wrapped my furniture and moved me into a storage unit with ease!
Edgar and Juan moved me from storage to new apartment with a quickness and were really nice and helpful.
I would recommend these guys again and again! Make an appointment its really easy. 😊

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! They are exactly what everyone is stating. They lied and told us they were coming with a 32' truck and showed up with a trailer! How can you efficiently move a 4 bedroom home with a trailer. That's the game, you can't. So now my 4 hour move turned into 7 hours at $110 hr Plus $50.00 for gas oh and a 3% charge for using a credit card. Then at the end of the move, Ricky (The wanna be manager) attempted to add another 30 min to the move. And do not fall for Ricky playing on your emotions discussing his son issues. Run from this company they are scandalous!

If i could give 0 stars i would ricky stated thursday he could do it thursday 5pm then said no lets do friday morning we set it up ricky confirmed via text then 8pm we received a call saying oh i cant do a 2 man job i can do 3 men but prive went up . we agreed at 815pm ok fine 3 men ricky said ill be there between 1 an 3 we said ok then at 1130 am friday this morning

These were easily the most efficient movers I have ever used! We're getting our home ready to sell and needed to move a lot of the bigger items into storage to get the house staged to sell. I filled out the form on the website and they called me within the hour with a price quote. They do charge a 2 hour minimum and the price was extremely affordable and they were upfront with all of their pricing.
They called last night to confirm the appointment for between 9-10 am and then called again today to give me a 30 minute warning around 9. They showed up promptly at 9:40, with a 26 ft trailer

Absolute worst moving experience I've ever encountered.
The mover came a few days before, did a walk through of the apartment and quoted me a price. The day of the move they arrived and changed the quoted price. The mover kept saying that "we didn't want to pay more" which is unprofessional and disrespectful as money wasn't the issue- the last minute change to the quote is the issue.
It was extremely unprofessional behavior and extremely frustrating as if they wanted a higher price - they should've QUOTED us that.
The movers ended up leaving x decided not to

They got me!. Got a quote from these folks.. They never came to my house. just asked what my lowest bid was and they beat it.. So here comes moving day. Three bed room house with a formal dining room. Here is the kicker. 1 Fridg. no other appl. only one bedroom. no kitchen table or chairs. So really like a one Bedroom apt. worth of furniture and boxes. Now they come in and tell me that they are going to need more money for the move at moving time!! I had to agree because we had to move....what a way to do business. EVERY other company we contacted came and seen the house.

These guys did a great job moving me into my new home. They were careful with the furniture and belongings but very quick/efficient. Including a 30 minute drive to the new house, they moved a huge desk, bed, cabinet, an electronic drum set, and a bunch of other boxes and suitcases in just an hour and 50 minutes. Would definitely use them again in the future.
