Services
Routine maintenance is an important part of caring for your septic system. The county recommends pumping your septic tank out every three to five years. Pumping frequency can depend on how many people are in your household and how old your system is. Remember, routine pumping is much cheaper than installing a new septic system.
Septic systems installed after the late 90's will typically have an effluent filter on the outlet end of the septic tank. The water passes through the effluent filter before it enters the drainfield. This filter helps to catch debris from entering the drainfield and potentially causing a blockage. If the effluent filter gets stopped up with debris you could experience signs of back up in your home.
2. Call us immediately so that we can come take a look at your system and determine what the issue is. 3. Silence your alarm - see the pictures below. This will stop the noise, but the red light will continue to say on until the issue is resolved. 4. Be conservative on your water usage. While you do have emergency storage in your system, there will not be an infinite supply of storage space.
There are many different kinds of septic systems. While some differ from others, they all work with the same design. All the water from inside the house flows into the septic tank where it separates between scum and sludge. The heavier, solid materials form sludge and collect at the bottom of the tank.

Foolishly waited 8 months for a repair to my septic system. This company prioritizes new construction, home owners will be pushed back no matter how bad your situation might be. They will show up same day to pump out and collect that $300 though! Called three other companies (all of them available) and had my system repaired in days, for cheaper too!

McFarland Septic completed an outstanding repair job on the septic system at my home. The knowledge of their technicians about septic systems is comprehensive: design of the system, diagnosis of problems, codes and inspections. The technicians work hard to explain the details at the level needed by the homeowner to understand what needs to be… done and what the options are. As stated in other reviews, McFarland conducts their business with integrity and excellence. They are a pleasure to work with, from the front office to the individuals who specify the work plan to the technicians and
