Mad Masonry was one of three quotes I received and was actually the higher of the three, but I felt given the scope of the work that this was a better fit. Tom, arrived on-time (he was actually early which worked out well) and thoroughly looked at all areas of the building including the roof. He provided me with an estimate in a timely matter.

DO NOT USE!!! VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICE.....
I requested in writing with several photos included for a quote for repairing a chimney cap and was helped immediately by an exceptional scheduler who informed me that they also do stucco repair and would I like a quote for that as well. I readily agreed since at this point everyone I contacted for the stucco did not do chimney cap repair as well. "One stop shopping" was very appealing. Mad Masonry send a crew out and forwarded me a quote. The quote was very detailed and broke out the Stucco repair separate from the chimney cap repair

Benchmark General Contracting used Mad Masonry as a sub for a 250K, 17 story, 198 unit high rise project. The scope of work was to re-caulk over 400 windows, paint the entire structure and repair any concrete according to the engineer's report. They did a great job and finished on time. Clearly we would work with them again on another project.

Mad Masonry helped us with on going water leak and made our home dry again. They replaced our window lintel, tuck-pointed the wall and applied a sealer to keep moisture away. Few months past by and we are safe and sound. We will definitely hire them again.

I have used Mad Masonry twice. My expectations were exceeded both times. In each instance, I obtained multiple quotes. Mad Masonry's pricing is competitive and the quality of the service will exceed your expectations. The first time I used Mad Masonry was for tuckpointing on a two-flat I owned in Wicker Park. More recently, I used Mad Masonry to perform repairs to the chimney on my home in Lake Forest. My chimney contained loose and deteriorating bricks. Additionally, the crown of the chimney was deteriorating. As a result, Mad Masonry performed a partial rebuild of the chimney. The work was performed

I own a small management company consisting of around 100 buildings in Chicago. It is hard to find a good and responsive masonry contractor in Chicago - I would know. Pete and Tom really are masonry experts and you only have to be with them on-site for 1 minute in order to realize that. Whether it is a small tuckpointing job or a complete parapet wall rebuild, they are always Johnny-on-the-spot. Recently purchased a home from the 1890's that needed major tuckpointing work on two walls of deteriorating brick. Mad Masonry completed the job in record time and did a great job of limiting the inconvenience to our neighbors. Their work is excellent, reasonably priced, and they did a great job with clean up as well. I would absolutely use them again and recommend to friends.
