Services
My name is Aaron Woodward and I am the owner of Pristine Sweeps. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your interest in our business, and welcome you to our "About Us" page! The following tells a bit about my own personal history and education, and how I fell into this wonderful trade of chimney sweeping.
Taking care of your chimney and fireplace is one of the most important things you can do to ensure the safety of your home. Like any other home appliance, your chimney and fireplace must be inspected, and regular maintenance should be performed to make sure that it is operating correctly. When a chimney system is not operating correctly, it can be a source of wasted energy, wasted money, and life-threatening danger.
Your chimney is often one of the most overlooked systems in your home. Unfortunately, ignoring a chimney problem or neglecting to maintain your chimney puts your home and family at significant risk. By keeping your fireplace and chimney clean and free of creosote and having your appliance regularly inspected, you can help keep your system burning efficiently and in an eco-friendly manner.
When you enter the world of fireplace or stove ownership, one of the first things you should learn about is creosote. With wood-burning appliances, creosote is always a concern; it's potentially flue-constricting and always highly combustible, and is one of the most consistent contributors to chimney fires.
Even if you make use of your fireplace, insert or stove year-round, there are a lot of things that can happen to the system without your knowledge. Here in Seattle, we get quite a bit of rain, wind and snow, which can seriously deteriorate the chimney's masonry. Not only does water corrode masonry, but it can also cause vegetation and algae to grow on brick and stone.

Quick response, quick follow up, on time, friendly, and bonus - my dog loved the guys who came by :) The only reason for not having 5 stars is that they were *very* expensive - twice as much as I've paid in the past for sweeps, but considering the others I reached out to were uninterested in scheduling this late in the season or wanted me to just be 'on call', it was worth the extra investment to get an overall sweep/clean and understanding of the options. I also appreciated the guy letting us know that while the chimney needs a rain cap, to not bother with it if we're going

Aaron did a fantastic job cleaning out and inspecting our wood burning stove - he went above and beyond what we expected and what we asked for. We will definitely be using Pristine Sweeps next year too!

I am not sure if this company has gone out of business? Back in the summer, I contacted them for a chimney sweep and they let me know they would get back to us in a few weeks for an appointment date. After many calls and messages, I still haven't heard from them. Their VM is now full and after 5+ months of trying to get a hold of them I've given up

I was charged $208 for a person to come to my house for 15 minutes and tell me that because my insert was installed before current regulations laws and they can’t clean my chimney. Very disappointed to be charged what amounts to $800 an hour for nothing without any warning while making the appointment that this was an option.

These guys are awesome! The weather forecaster said we were to expect some snow so we wanted to make sure our fireplace was operational. So I called up Pristine Sweeps and talked to Michelle and she was amazing! Even though they did not have any room and it was last minute, they were able to swing by (they literally showed up when the snow started), Aaron knows his business. He checked things out, advise me about the condition of the fireplaces (both wood and gas), and cleared our wood fireplace for burning. These guys are responsive, courteous, understanding, and professional. We will be using

Very happy with my experience with Pristine Sweeps! I recently bought a house and thought the chimney could use a Clean and Inspection service.

It turns out I was right. The chimney was on its last leg.

Instead of charging me this and that for temporary fixes he was honest with me and recommended some great alternative fire place options(electric or gas)

He also came out during snowpocolypse of 2019!!!

Pristine Sweeps was professional, timely & thorough with my appointment. All the interactions were great: Juliet was great to work with on scheduling, Aaron arrived exactly on time to inspect my new home. Aaron was informed, kind & great with his communication. Even thought the prognosis was grim (my chimney/fireplace does not pass inspection) he was kind enough to suggest businesses I should contact to do the work. Great team & I have already recommended them to other friends.

Excellent Customer Service!! Juliet was so incredibly helpful on the phone. Aaron and his team were incredibly efficient. They Took care of all three of our chimneys and pointed out a few areas that we should have a contractor look at. The explanations they gave were fantastic and there attention to detail was impeccable. I highly recommend Pristine Sweeps!

We've had our open wood-burning fireplace cleaned and inspected by Pristine Sweeps twice now, and both times they were friendly on the phone, professional about scheduling and arriving at scheduled times, and no-BS about problems and risks. Aaron spent a bunch of time talking with me about how to improve the safety of our 1928 construction home's fireplace without completely rebuilding it, and in the end when we decided to go with a gas insert, referred us to another business who is also treating us exceptionally well.

Being overambitious, I had decided to do some of the required repairs

We are so happy with the fast, expert work from Aaron and great communication from Juliet and Aaron. We were fit in for an estimate quickly due to a cancellation, just one or two days after I first reached out to them. We were informed that any work may need to wait until after the rainy season, so I was surprised when they said they could order the piece we needed and were able to install it before New Year's day. Our currently fireplace-less chimney no longer howls and we don't have to wonder if birds and animals are getting in! They also sent very clear before and after pictures, which

This company does an excellent job every time they come out to do work on our fireplace.

We've been using them for years and it's always a great experience. From making an appointment, to them coming over to do the job.

When we first bought our place there was a cast-iron insert in the firebox which we removed to revert back to its original state. Pristine came out, inspected the firebox and flue, made some minor repairs (they are very honest and won't "recommend" stuff you don't need), and put a cap with a damper on the top of the chimney.

Since then, we&apos

Other yelpers, feel free to contact me for pictures of Pristine Sweep's work. You can see for yourself the lack of quality Pristine Sweeps puts into their job.

We had some water coming into our basement right below the chimney. The chimney itself had some cracks in the brick and stucco that needed sealing. Also, we were concerned whether the flashing around the chimney itself was good.

Pristine Sweeps came out an gave us an estimate. They asked $99 just for showing up to provide an estimate. They said they could fix the brick, but not the stucco. The money for the estimate could be applied

I had my chimney swept by Pristine Sweeps.

To run down my experience:

-I emailed for an estimate and received one promptly - it was broken down into the pricing for coming out/initial inspection and the actual cleaning (if it was needed).
- Their email response time for scheduling was quick and efficient
-They sent out both an email reminder before my appointment and an email invoice afterwards
- Technician was on-time, polite, and made sure that no soot was left behind.
- Final price was below the estimated cost

All-in-all great experience

I was impressed with Andrew from Pristine Sweeps. He came to inspect our chimney, and said that it looked fine overall, with a few minor cracks that will eventually need to be sealed up (once it's warmer). He was very professional, climbed up on the roof to take picture and a good look at our chimney. We have a bit of moisture inside and some cob webs, which he cleaned.

I don't expect a service to be free, but the $153 fee seemed a little steep for not having to do much other than climb a ladder, take a few photos, and move the cobwebs away.

Still--I would recommend them and will likely

Our chimney needed some work before we invested in a new roof. Several bricks were spalling and the mortar between the bricks had weathered away (with some help from woodpeckers) in many places. Most of the contractors from whom we solicited bids, including Pristine Sweeps, recommended rebuilding the chimney from the roofline up. Their bid was competitive and Aaron seemed to have his act together moreso than the competition in terms of his responsiveness and the thoroughness of his bid.

Aaron told us the project would take two days and was able to fit us in his schedule within two weeks. He and

Preparing for our up coming move we had a home inspection completed on our house. The home inspector suggested we have our chimney inspected and repaired by a certified technician. Facing a deadline I looked for a reputable company who could complete the needed work in a timely manner. I was able to get a hold of Aaron and he made it out to the house to assess the chimney in just a few days. Aaron assessed the chimney and determined it did not need repair and the home inspector incorrect about their assessment. Keeping his word and business practice Aaron completed the estimate for free!!! He never
