We service all of Manhattan and have the proper licenses and insurances needed for NYC and the surrounding boroughs. We install our linings so the boiler system can be run overnight during the install process. We continue education for our staff regarding certifications to improve our quality, service and efficiency.
A video scan allows us to see the interior portion of the chimney cavity that we cannot view from a Level 1 inspection. If you cannot see it from the base or when looking down from the top, it does not mean there is no issue with the inside of your chimney. There could be gapping, spacing, missing brick or flue sections, cracks splitting through flues.
Acid Testing for Brick:EMG Industrial will take and send sample brick to a lab where it will be tested on both ASTM Standard C270, "Standard Specification for Chemical Resistant masonry Units", and also a method on Acid Corrosion Resistance of Refractory Ceramics. The brick will be at the lab testing for 21 days.
