I had a great experience with Toby & Zach! Had our old (but new to us) masonry fireplace cleaned and inspected, and flue caps installed. They were very knowledgeable, respectful, and did a thorough job. I've never had a wood burning fireplace before, and they kindly walked me through the ins and outs.

We moved into a 1960s house with two wood burning chimneys and had the Chimney Specialists out to clean the chimney and get a clean bill of health. I learned more about chimneys and fireplaces than I could have ever Google'd and sincerely appreciated the extensive experience and consultative advice, and he answered all of my questions. Fall and Winter are the busy months for chimney cleaners so I had to book my appointment a couple of months in advance. Colin and Jason came out and completed a quick and thorough cleaning and inspection on my two chimneys. They took the time to give me some relevant pointers about my using my wood stove. I learned some good tips on how to get the most out of my chimneys and reduce soot. Professional, fast and informative. Their price was competitive and they followed Covid safety guidelines. Lenny came out last week and I was really impressed with how he and his helper (sorry, forgot his name), got out of their van wearing face masks over their mouth AND noses', came in my home being very polite, confirmed that what I asked for was what they were there to do, got to work right away and made sure to not make a mess and cleaned as he went. I'd like to add that I had another company come out a month prior and they were immediately "stumped" on how to remove the soot/creosote from my wood stove and said they had to come back with the proper vacuum hose next week. Over a year ago I contacted the Chimney Specialists for help with a leak coming through my chimney. They responded and found my chimney caps were in need of replacement. They replaced them, but leaking continued. I called them back a second time and they responded promptly without question. They inspected the caps and double caulked them. However leaking continued. This is more than a year later. I recalled them a third time and, again, they responded without question. They reinspected the caps and assured me they were fine. These guys know there stuff! We just moved into a new home and needed an inspection/cleaning. They did it all very quickly, explained everything in detail, and gave us some great advice! This is a rip off company. They don't tell you they charge a estimate fee and when they arrive the demand it. Than have the nerve to tell you it was a dispatch mistake. I wouldn't recommend this company at all! If if I could give them a no star. I would.
