We moved into a beautiful new home in Aptos but our Terrazzo countertops were a little worse for wear due to acid etching and knife marks (all of which are not supposed to occur). We wanted the home to feel brand new, so we called out Mr. Peabody's to restore our countertops throughout our Kitchen, Master Bath, upstairs guest bath and laundry room. Nice people but was a sales trick. I was quoted a price over the phone for my tile floors to be cleaned and sealed and that price mind you was not cheap. Then when they showed up the price for all of the services was going to be $3200 more then what was quoted per square foot. This was due to the fact they suggested in order to get the floors looking like new they needed to be sand them before sealing. Mind you the floors were in really great shape. I decided to opt out of the extra money services but felt like they should have been up front on the phone that there were two options and the vast

Great carpet cleaning and very nice customer service. They are a little pricier than most but well worth it. I've tried less expensive carpet companies but my carpets never seemed as clean & fresh as Peabody 's and the spots would reappear after a few days.
Tip- be prepared to pay $ extra for pet stains. I will say ...they do get the stains out, even old ones.

We have brand new quartzite countertops in our kitchen. They needed to be cleaned and sealed. There was also a 3 inch circular spot of etching that needed to be fixed. Mr. Peabody's gave us the best quote and exceptional service. They researched our stone by going to the dealer, and taking a sample of stone we had left over. They tested their product on that stone before doing our job. They were on time, clean, and thorough. I highly recommend this company.

I live in Half Moon Bay and sometimes it is hard to get service over here, so I was surprised when Mr. Peabody's works in our area. I am so glad I found them. I have travertine in my kitchen as well as a bathroom. The kitchen in particular had become quite worn with several holes that needed filling. The team came out and worked non stop for six hours. The result was spectacular. They cleaned the entire surface and then filled the holes so that they were virtually unnoticeable. They finished with a polish to the level of shine i wanted. No idea how their work is. Professionalism is negative zero stars!! Encountered their truck driving on highway 1 as I was attempting to change lanes with a signal on. Their driver in truck A1 - a 30ish Hispanic male was honking and drove by making gestures. Started with hang up type gestures then finished with the bird! Called the company and left a message. Got a call back from someone who said he was telling you to get off your phone. Nice if I had been but I wasn't. And he finished with flipping me off. My master bedroom carpet had been hit pretty hard over the years by my incontinent dog. Not only that, it had a major dirty pathway where we walked the most. I couldn't believe how beautifully it turned out! The crew also put on an enzyme treatment for pet urine odors and did a protective treatment as well. They used hot water extraction and an amazing carpet scrubber with nylon bristles which really knocked out the dirty pathway marks. I recieved a quote of 465, and when the tech came out they quoted $1800.. My house is a 3 bedroom, with hardwood floors. I had maybe less than 1000 sq feet to be cleaned. The tech came with a black light to show spots on my carpet. I paid the $1800, and all the spots are still there... I could of purchased new carpet for this cost. I feel taken advantage and the fact that the spots are still there is horrible. I sent a note with pictures to the office, and no one responded with an explaination.

We did an exhaustive search on how to clean our engineered wood floors without satisfaction. But Mr. Peabody's knew exactly what to do. Our floors look like the day they were installed!
The job was done in one day. We left at 8 a.m. and were back in our townhouse by 5 p.m.

Mr Peabody's The Carpet Care Experts are the best carpet cleaning company in the entire Bay Area. I started using their services 6 years ago and each time they come my carpets look like new. Raymond and Matton recently did the impossible and managed to remove red printer ink from an ink jet printer from a light multi-colored beige carpet. Terrry has top notch equipment, housed in a large truck, that has the capability of deep cleaning the carpet and leaving a lasting finish when scotch guarded. We have carpeted stairs and the one at the bottom step had severe damage from cat scratches. The stairs, and first floor carpets had alot of cat urine and high traffic dirt that my steam vac could only go so far. They came on time, cleaned everything up, and replaced the carpet at the step I mentioned using builder's remnants I kept around.

Mr. Peabody's Morgan Hill did a fast great job. I called the day before my move, they were there the very next morning. Cleaned all of my carpets before my move in to a nice clean house. And I had them clean my couch that was covered in dog hair, it is now spotless and smells fresh.

I have used Mr. Peabody's exclusively to clean the carpets in my rental properties for at least ten years (starting way back when he was located in Salinas); Because of the quality of his work I have it written in the contract that the carpets will be cleaned only by his company. He is conscientious, professional, and honest--values that I respect! Over the years he has made costly investments upgrading his equipment that further demonstrate he is serious about what he does. Although he is located in Morgan Hill, given enough advance notice, he will still come to Salinas.
