Services
Mold Investigations has been providing environmental consulting and remediation services in the Pacific Northwest since 1998. We are a small local firm staffed with industrial hygienists, analytical chemists, and environmental professionals with over 50 years of combined experience. We have offices in Vancouver, Portland, and Sunriver and offer the flexibility and time sensitive response required in today's dynamic marketplace.
In the past few years, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of illnesses associated with mold. Although mold contamination has been given little attention until recently, an increasing proportion of building-related illness (BRI) and sick building syndrome (SBS) in the home and workplace is thought to be the result of exposure to molds and/or their toxins.
Since mold spores and any toxins they produce are microscopic, it is often not possible to detect the presence of mold contamination simply by sight or smell. Although visible mold growth is indicative of severe contamination that must be eliminated, the absence of such obvious contamination does not mean that a problem does not exist.
If it is determined that a mold problem exists in your home or work environment, it will be necessary to remediate the problem immediately. Before the mold is removed it is first be necessary to determine the cause of the mold growth.
When water leaks or spills occur indoors - ACT QUICKLY. If wet or damp materials or areas are dried 24-48 hours after a leak or spill happens, in most cases mold will not grow. Make sure the ground slopes away from the building foundation so that water does not enter or collect around the foundation.

Report
Thomas Nadermann of Mold Investigators has to be the most slick talking crooked man in this business. He conducted an investigation for my landlord- did not include the lab report (was told by my investigator they use the same lab and it makes NO sense why this would not be included- and it clearly highlights dangerous conditions in red) Thomas stated on his report that it was safe for my family (yes even my children) to be in the home- when he knew very well that there was an extremely high spore count of Stachybotrys inside the home. did the inspection while active mold was STILL in the house
