Hi, my name is Garrett Dayfield and I am the proud owner and operator of Mold Testing Services of Oregon. I was raised in NE Portland and am a second-generation mold inspector. MTSO was founded by my father in 2002 and at that time, was one of the first companies to provide residential mold inspection and testing.
Each project begins with a discovery call where we discuss pertinent details such as project location, background and client concerns. With this information we can tailor an accurate quote to fit your mold inspection and testing needs. Upon arrival at your residence or business, we will tour the site with the client to view areas of concern.
Using a calibrated Zefon Bio-Pump Plus in conjunction with Air-O-Cell cassettes, air sampling is used to measure the genera and quantity of airborne mold spores within the target area. A minimum of one air sample from outside the structure is required for comparison purposes. Standard turnaround time is 2-3 business days.
Pre-Testing is recommended when a mold problem has been identified but prior to initiating a mold remediation. This service is useful to measure and record the types and quantity of mold spore activity prior to any remedial activities. Such information helps document a professional response and sets a baseline of mold spore activity before the remediation contractor has begun.

Garrett was great to work with. He was responsive and through helping us to discover an issue in our attic which wasn't the reason we asked him to look at and has helped us spot an issue before it became a much bigger problem. I would definitely call MTSO again!

Garrett did an excellent job for us. He went above and beyond helping my college age daughter by inspecting her rental house. He listened to all the concerns we had and did a throughogh inspection. His identification of other issues in addition to mold and the report he wrote helped us get our daughter out of an unsafe house. He is a skilled professional and a thoughtful person that was available quickly when we needed help.

I'm in the process of clearing out my basement and knew I had to address areas of mold before starting the project. I called Garrett to inspect the basement and he showed up on time, wore proper mask covering and was ready to go. He looked through the entire space and highlighted areas that needed attention. He gave recommendations on how to fix the mold and provided contacts to local service companies that could help. Overall, it was a great to get his professional eye and talk through solutions. I would highly recommend.

Garrett knows his stuff!. He punctual, informative and a really pleasant guy. If you need to know if you have mold that needs remediation, he's your guy. He fit our mold test in quickly, within the 10 day grace period we had to know what is needed before we sign on that dotted line when buying a house. It was a real pleasure to meet him. If we ever need another mold test, we'll call Garett at MTSO!

I called mold testing services to look at our apartment. Garrett was the one who serviced our unit. He was on time, very professional and made sure he explained the process. We hired Garrett from Mold Testing Services of Oregon to come and inspect our apartment after we had a mold issue in our baby's room. Very responsive and professional. He was extremely thorough and found more issues in the apartment that we had even known to look for. He advised us on our options for documenting and testing what was found in our rental and wrote a very thorough report.
