We are fully insured and NFI (National Fireplace Institute) certified, and all products are American made. We sell, install, repair and upgrade all major gas fireplace brands, including Empire, White Mountain, Monessen Hearth, Vermont Castings, and Napoleon Fireplaces. We also work with Peterson Real Fyre, specifically their Vent-Free G10 Series.

Gas fireplace logs are durable and resistant to very hot temperatures, but they do need to be changed out occasionally. How often depends on a variety of factors, such as the material they're made out of (obviously the higher quality the material, the longer they can last) and how often you use your gas fireplace.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Be forwarned. I hired the owner of this company to do basic maintenance and check up on my 13 year old gas fireplace. It was working perfectly fine before his visit. HE ACTUALLY BROKE THE FIREPLACE'S IGNITER AND PILOT while attempting to clean it. I paid him $300 in cash only to have a non-working fireplace where I never had any problem before. When I called him and told him the fireplace was not working and he needed to return and fix it, he stated, "I will call you back". He then proceeded to block my phone number so I could no longer reach him by phone. I then delivered

Bob seemed like a really nice elderly man unfortunately he's inept and he lies. He came on 1/20/21. He couldn't fix our gas fireplace. He still charged us $253 for a "service call" and said it needed parts totaling hundreds of dollars. After months of not hearing back, we hired someone who knew what they were doing. Our fireplace needed a new switch - It's a part that costs about $1. Fireplace is now working. I called Bob from SJ Gas Fireplace Services to ask for a refund. He said he would give us one if we could send him a picture of the receipt from the the company who actually fixed it. We texted

We had a service person named Jim G. I would call for him again in a minute. We had a gas leak in our fireplace, Jim took his time checking everything up and down stairs. Bob comes to our home and he can't get the front grill off to work on our gas fireplace (routine service). While he is trying to get the front decorative grill off, his cell phone keeps ringing and he answers it every time, discussing other jobs while he is suppose to be working on ours. 90 minutes he spent in my home and could not get the grill off. He tells us that he has to speak to his installer and will get back to us. He leaves the bottom part off that he removed initially and doesn't put it back. Very courteous and great communication skills. I originally left a voicemail to schedule and decided a call shortly after to schedule our gas heater repair. We received a call the day of to confirm. He showed up on time and let us know exactly what was happening with our system and what he could do to repair it. He repaired our heater that day at a reasonable price. We also discussed upgrade options and he left material for us to keep should we decide to do so in the future. I absolutely recommend SJ Gas Fireplace Services.

Find another company! I called to scheduled an appointment. The gentleman (I am assuming the owner) stated they were extremely busy and it would be at least 2 weeks. I said no problem and scheduled an appointment. The appointment came and went with no a no show and a no call. I called to inquire and the gentleman stated they were extremely busy and I have to have patience. I responded that I had an appointment and they no showed. He gave me a story about someone calling out and that never happens and he would check the books and get back to me ASAP with a new date and time. Three days came and
