It’s complicated. On the one hand they very quickly came out and looked at a fireplace venting issue I need to resolve. Many thanks for their prompt response. On the other hand their ultimate solution seemed to be a way to sell me a new fireplace rather than a more specific set of actions to move the fireplace outside vent. Not being an expert I don’t know for sure. So I have engaged with another vendor and if the only solution is replacing the fireplace I will update my review here.

We called Malvern Hearth and Home to schedule fireplace service. We explained exactly what problem we were having with the unit. After the technician's visit, the problem was not fixed. I called the company who said they'd call me back and did not. I called again and they asked me to speak to the technician. The technician was rude and denied that the problem existed. He told me to perform several adjustments; I thought this was why I called them. Ultimately he told me he had no idea what was wrong and the unit worked fine when he has here. I asked for a service call back in August & had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. I requested we reschedule. Then in November I called back as no one had followed up with to schedule a new appt. This time they said they would call me back to schedule. No callback. I called back again in early December stating no one had called me back. I said 'maybe you don't like our neighborhood' (that's an attempt at humor that was clearly misunderstood), The owner himself got on the phone and suggested I call another business, which I will gladly comply with. Not the friendliest bunch.
