Johnny and team did a terrific job with the installation of our 18' long Sunsetter awning. The crew showed up on time, was very professional and courteous. Installation looks solid and they even walked us through the steps to operate. Looking forward to enjoying our new awning this upcoming summer!!

Abby’s installed two Sunsetter Awnings for us and (thankfully) hauled away the huge heavy tubes that the awnings came in. The awnings are side by side, perfectly aligned and installed just where I wanted them. The cords were tacked up neatly across the ceiling and down the back wall as we’d wanted. The installation went smoothly and nothing was damaged. With the weight off those things, we could not have done it ourselves

We needed our electronic approximately 300 pound awning taken off our roof so that roofers could repair the cement shingles around the awning brackets, then replace it once the roof work was completed. They also replaced the awning fabric with new fabric. They were timely, courteous, diligent and efficient, all at a fair price, and now have a repaired roof and electric awning that is like brand new, and beautiful. We highly recommend Abby's!

Unprofessional service and extremely rude owner! I wish I could have put minus 5 star.
They took our blinds for cleaning and used bleach on yellow blinds! Then called me to say that our blinds were white to begin with!!!! When I didn't accept it, Barry took the phone and started yelling at me that why I say the blinds were not white and why I complain about them being white and hung up on me!!! We ended up with purchasing new blinds and not even receiving back the old ones which they took from our house. Their behaviour is completely unprofessional. They don't take responsibility for

Unfortunately for me, Barry did not do the cleaning on my awning. He sent two other guys, one of which is supposed to be the new owner. The streaking on the awning looks like half a job; they said they would not use bleach, but cleaning liquid they used left many pure white spots on my redwood deck (which now looks like it has chicken pox from being bleached out). Not pretty. When I pointed out the damage, they gave me several ways for ME to repair it including staining, power washing (hey, that's why I called "professionals" right?) Terrible service we called n talked w a really friendly guy on the phone. We took our mini blind in to see it could be restrung. An older guy was there who talked w us amidst a couple of cell phone calls n said he would have to get back w us but he would work on it n give us a call back. 4 weeks passed sans return call. I have been calling this business three consecutive days with minimal success. The nice guy answering the phone said "oh, you mean those cheap plastic blinds? " i said perhaps yes. I would give a minus star if I could. I left a message on a message machine regarding a awning that needed to be repaired. No one ever return my phone call so I called back about four days later. The man who answered the phone was very rude very unprofessional he said I need to know the maker normally they don't break, I don't even know what's going on and I said well I wish somebody would've called me when I left a message and I would have gotten some information for you and he said well , I didn't so what now !!!!! I thought that Abby's had great prices for cleaning and I dropped my blinds off. One week later on Saturday, we went to Abby's and they were closed when the website listed Saturday hours. We never received their vm 6/11/15 and they never received our 3 messages from 6/13/15, hence no follow up call. I followed up with a call today 6/15/15 asking why no return call and this is when we figured out the wires got crossed. No biggie, BUT when the owner Barry blames it on the customer and doesn't own it - Alert: Communications 101: use the word "I" and it defuses the situation

I've been a customer of Abby's for years. Their service is amazing- fast turn around, reasonable prices and excellent work. Their staff also has excellent communication skills which is lacking in so many other service companies.

We have Hunter Douglas silouette shades and they make them look new each time they clean them.

Recently had 12 sets of blinds cleaned and polished. They picked up and return the blinds within a 12 hours turn around. We were very satisfied with this service and they did an excellent job on the blinds. Called several places and Abby's was very reasonable in price. I will highly recommend this place.

I called them based on several other reviews that I had read. I needed several of my Hunter Douglas duette blinds cleaned and restrung as well as a set of HD Luminettes cleaned and rehung. They did a good job on cleaning and restring in the duettes but when it came to my Luminettes we ran into problems. I needed new brackets for the blinds to be rehung. They brought back all the blinds when they had been cleaned but were going to need an extra two weeks to find the brackets they needed fo rehang my Luminettes. I found my whole experience rather odd with this place. I called a couple places because I needed my shades repaired, and went with this place because they are closer and they were recommended by another local business. I explained the problem, and the person on the phone wanted to know the brand name of the shades. They were custom made, not a brand, and I don't have a way to contact whoever made the shades. I couldn't find anyone in the Oakland area to clean my 13 year old blinds before I stumbled on Abbys Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning. The blinds were so grimy/filthy that I thought I would have to replace them. I called Barry and he was very informative and helpful on the phone, he was willing to take a shot at getting them clean so I drove them down to San Jose. The results are amazing. The shades look like new and it was so reasonably priced (including the drive). Great service and excellent results.

We just had Abby's Commercial Detailing Systems come out and replaced our awnings and it couldn't have been easier, smoother and quicker! YEA Barry! Barry has been taking care of us from day one, when our awnings were merely "old" and has helped me sew and scrub them to get thru the economy's slumps. My blinds are beautiful after Abby's ultrasonic blind cleaning. I found blinds in the garage rafters that were left by the previous owner. At first I was annoyed because there was no way to shove the filthy things into the garbage cart and close the lid. The blinds were custom built and were more than ten years old. I called Hunter Douglas and their replacement costs were pricey. They recommended ultrasonic cleaning, which I didn't think could clean the grime out, but it was worth a try. I have known Barry for several years now and he has offered me lots of advice for window treatment solution. He began with some great advice on how to give my business the curb appeal it needed to stand out among all my other competitors. I met Barry as a subcontractor through the general contractor who worked on my restaurant launch a couple years back. I reconnected with Barry a year or so ago, and now he services/cleans the great awnings that he initially installed. The best thing is that it's 'no thing'. Barry calls or stops by, reminds you that customers make decisions about your business based on your curb appeal, and then he schedules a fast & painless cleaning - which also helps preserve the life of the awnings. They glow afterward, and it's a great feeling when you pull up to work in the morning
