Blue Lagoon Spas & Swim Spas is a family owned business that opened its doors in Fair Oaks in 2015. Owner John Hampton is a northern California native. He has worked in the spa industry most of his adult life and is proud to have over 15 years of experience and says, "I learned how spas work from the inside out and know all there is to keep a spa running and functional."

Had a 4pm appointment to see a spa made via Facebook messenger. Got off work, went across town no one was there, called no answer, left text and FB message no response back. Then someone Rachael called.(She was very nice) was not aware we had an appointment, she asked me to hang tight and she would call me back. She calls back something came up with John, could I come tomorrow? No sorry I work and plans in the evening. John could have easily gone on FB messenger and let me know something came up, it would have been fine. But to not let me know, waste my gas, get my kids excited, waste my time

Bought a used spa ..... John had issues with staying heated since day one.... he claimed it was normal... after a year spa quit working and sent him multiple messages and called the business he has yet to call me back... when I bought he he said hey if you have any issues I’ll come check it out and you can just pay parts.... I have yet to get a call back horrible way to run a business in my book... especially a spa that was supposedly used in a Model home and “never really used”

We try to support local businesses as much as possible.
After doing some shopping and checking out the posted reviews we decided to buy a new spa from Blue Lagoon in Fair Oaks.
We were told it would be 6-8 weeks until delivery.
After 10 weeks (with no updates from them)
we contacted Blue Lagoon.
We were advised that there was a delay due to demand and parts and
Co-vid.
Those are legitimate excuses.
Our complaint is that we received No further communication from them regarding the delay.
Finally(16 weeks after purchase) we received a call that they were ready to deliver.
Delivery was fine

Extremely frustrated with my experience with this company! Lied about the age of the hot tub, delivered it to us and it doesn't even work. We called, texted, and I even found the owner John on Facebook! He replied when I initially asked if he was the owner then once he realized who I was he hasn't responded since even after I shamelessly sent several more messages. It's even more frustrating because of facebooks feature that shows when they were last on and he is always on!!!!

We purchased a used spa from blue lagoon and we were happy with the experience until it was delivered. They delivered a broken hot tub. We called multiple times and they never returned our call. We finally called a repair company to fix the tub. After further inspection it needs a new heater, pump and sensors. Although they told us it went through a reconditioning process. They also told us it was 3-4 years old. We have now verified that the tub is 9 years old. We have now called, text and Facebook messages the store. We have had no response for 10 days. This is a simple fix and would be a simple

John, owner of Blue Lagoon Spas, installed our hot tub at Lake Tahoe August 2018. He was the only Spa Dealer who was smart enough to look at Google Maps to check out the topography behind our house. He figured out that we did not need to turn off our electricity, pay for a power pole, or hire a crane for $1,000 to lift a spa over the top of our house. Instead he used a sled and used gravity to move the spa down to our house. (See pictures)

It's been almost a year now since we got our spa here. We bought a used model, and use it 4-6 days a week when weather permits. It is fantastic!! Like most reviewers, we also found that John provided exemplary customer service in all areas. He gave us a VERY fair price, and went above and beyond in every way in the customer service department both before and after the sale. He had several different used spas, but in talking with him about our needs he recommended one in particular and we've been extremely pleased with it. If you are in the market for a spa, I highly recommend stopping

It's been a couple of weeks now since John delivered our new turbo spa. We have been very happy with our new spa so far. Compared to the other spas I looked at, our turbo spa is well constructed and very reasonably priced. I like that the spas are made in California and distributed locally. John talked us out of a spa purchase from Costco. He explained to us why turbo spas are superior in design, and service over the life of the spa. John is great! I went to five or six different hot tub stores before I found blue lagoon and John. The other stores reminded me of a car dealership, people just pushing products they had no knowledge of to try and make the all mighty dollar...trying to sell you anything they can, even if it's poor quality.
John on the other hand spent my first hour in his shop explaining to me the details of his craft (refurbishing hot tubs) and explaining to me how tubs work and what to look for when I do but one. In two hours I had learned more about hot tubs, how they are constructed, and how the work then

I was looking to buy a hot tub for quite some time and heard good things about this place from a friend. I went in and was more than happy with my experience! The owner is really great, friendly and professional, but also laid back and makes you feel really comfortable. There was no pressure to buy, and he knew a ton about his products. The shop decor is really nice and modern. I bought a hot tub, and left more than happy with my experience.

John is very knowledgeable in his products and services. He has very good customer service skills and is not one of those pushy salesmen type. You can ask him anything without being haggled. He sells new and refurbished spas. We shopped around and found he had the best prices and had a great personality and quality spas. His prices were about half the cost of everyone else. We bought a new spa from him and he really took care of us at a really great price. He delivers it, installed it and made sure everything was running and all set before he left. He also said to call him anytime we have any questions

John not only sells used spas he thoroughly checks them out first before he will purchase, refurbish and then resell. He knows the various brands and won't sell
products that aren't quality.
