Preferred by our customers since 1980 for all of their heating and outdoor fire and grill needs. Monroe Fireplace was established in 1980. In 1985 Bob & Cecelia Martin purchased Monroe Fireplace & Stove. It was located at 500 E. Main from 1981 to 2006. In 2006 the Martins purchased the old Monroe bowling alley on Hwy 2 in Monroe and converted it into the beautiful showroom it is today.

Our goal since 1980 has consistently been to create satisfied customers. Our focus has always been on the hearth (fireplace, stoves, accessories) products. We have expanded the fire to the patio in our sales and service of fire pits, pellet and charcoal barbeques, and smokers. But always, through different ownership, and different products, our attention is always directed towards satisfying our customers.

The Monroe Fireplace service program is geared to complement our superior product lineup by providing the best installation and follow-up maintenance experiences possible to our customers. Every one of our installations is previewed in the customer's home to ensure that the actual on-site work goes smoothly at a cost that is established in advance.

1: Among the largest selections of wood, gas, and pellet burning stoves, inserts, and fireplaces in the Northwest. Our beautiful 3,500 square foot showroom has over 80 fireplaces and stoves on display, 35 of which are live burning models. 2: A friendly low pressure sales staff with many years of hands-on experience in all aspects of fireplaces and space heating to help you select the correct appliance for your taste and needs.
These numbers are based on appliances 75%- 80% in efficiency, and are based on averages. Other considerations should be insulation levels of home, amount and quality of windows, and layout of home. An on-site evaluation, by a hearth product professional is recommended, before your purchase, to insure that your stove is properly sized for your home and needs.
To better serve our customers, we have established a defined service area. This area is where we feel we can provide top-notch service to our customers. Your total experience is important to us and the ability to provide timely service is important. We will consider doing work outside this area on a case-by-case basis.

Recently we experienced close to 5ft of snow in the upper parts of the Skykomish Valley. After losing power we were running strong with our gas stove until that took a dump. In an act of desperation, I drove to Monroe Fireplace to seek help. They listened to me and ultimately sent an emergency tech out in the snow to help me out. Hero is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but at my wit's end Monroe Fireplace came through with some heroic stuff. Customer for life.

Although others on Yelp have given Monroe Fireplace a high rating my experience has not been good. The owner does not follow up or answer questions. Maybe he is too busy to bother helping potential customers. If you contact them with questions or want an estimate to install you may never get an answer.

After getting a couple of bids, we decided to go with Monroe Fireplace for our new gas insert. Damon came out for a home visit and helped us select the right unit for our space. I appreciate that they sell only the highest quality products. We had a fairly difficult installation because if our retro 60's stone faced fireplace, but he assured me that they had the skill to "make it look right". Other competitors said "no way, it will look terrible."

This outfit is great, we purchased a propane fire place six years ago and have had the service techs come out a few times over the years. Recently two of their services techs Luke and Anthony came out and did a great job taking care of us. They were very polite, professional and timely. They defiantly know their trade. Brought pellet stove years ago from Monroe Fireplace. Been cleaning and maintaining the stove annually. Decided to get at thorough service and made a appointment for a complete service. Tech called to notify us he was on his way and arrived on time. Tech, Anthony, was very courteous, professional, and polite. He ensured that the surrounding area was protected from any ash or dust while cleaning the stove.
His workmanship and knowledge is outstanding. He left the area very clean. The stove is working like it's new. Thank you very much Anthony and Monroe Fireplace.

I've got a problem with my gas fireplace and sent out a bunch of requests here on yelp asking for help.
Damon was the only one who's replied with some instructions and tips on how to deal with it and following his lead I was able to find out there's no problem, but some confusion (that's my first fireplace)
Yet, he was the only one who's come back with some advice, while everyone else started telling me what do they charge for the diagnostic.
If I'll ever have a problem again, Monroe Fireplace will be my first choice because of their honesty

Our new fireplace and hearth turned out great - thanks to Jim and his co-worker who came out to do the install and the tile wrap.
We bought our insert from Monroe Fireplace in 2007 and upgraded to a wood burning energy efficient fireplace.
Highly recommend Monroe Fireplace - there's a reason why we keep coming back.

Terrible customer service. I spoke to someone on Yelp who suggested I call to schedule an appointment. That was fine. I call to do that and the woman on the phone was an absolute nightmare. She was rude and condescending. We tried to tell her we are new home owners and have never used our pellet stove. We were told it needed repair or a consultation for a new one. She refused to schedule us an appointment for repair or a consultation for a new one until we scheduled a cleaning. The cleaning was an extra cost that may not have even been necessary if we ended up buying a new one. We ended up going

I have 2 wood pellet stoves which I purchased here. I have been doing business with this company for about 8 years. Every spring I have both cleaned by them by taking advantage of the early bird special! This year Luke Gleason did the work and he was great! I learn something every time one of their staff comes to my house whether it be for repair or cleaning!! Love this company.

Love monroe Fireplace and grill.

Easy free parking.

Very informative knowledgeable staff. They do not push a sale on you. I went three times before making a commitment Yona fancy BBQ.

They helped deliver my BBQ because I did not have a truck.

Then I could not figure out how to work it. Over the phone he walked me through it.

Then my dog literally ate the BBQ power cord within a week of owning the BBQ. So they ordered a replacement part came to my home fixed it.

Then I was a ding bat and didn't realize I hadn't paid for the part. She kindly called me a couple months later and

We recently purchased a new wood burning stove (Lopi Evergreen) thru Monroe Fireplace and it was just installed this morning. From start to finish, our experience has been fantastic. Damon and all of his staff were helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Tyler and Joe showed up early for the install and were friendly, very organized and respectful of making sure everything was clean and did a great job on our installation. Had these guys out a couple times to look at another project at my new house, and as usual they did a great job. This particular project wasn't one that ended up making sense for some logistical reasons that were outside their control, but they were very helpful and reasonable throughout.

Super friendly and helpful staff, great selection, fair prices. We decided to do the delivery and install ourselves to save a little time and they walked us through each step patiently. They even met us after hours on their day off to get us the right parts for our unique install application. I called to see whether they install as far as south Seattle. Unfortunately they don't, but the guy took my number, called his rep, and found a reputable installer who could help. He then called that dealer/installer to make sure they come up to south Seattle, before calling me back and giving me the info I needed. He went above and beyond for me, even though he knew I wasn't going to be a customer. Really impressive, kind, honest customer care. If we lived in Monroe, we would be loyal customers.
