2. Do I really need to service my gas fireplace? Yes, gas fireplace manufacturers recommend an annual service. Cleaning, inspection, and testing. 3. How often should I clean the glass? The glass should be cleaned at least once a season. If the glass is not cleaned often enough, the white film will bake into the pores of the glass and will be permanently stained.
4. What is the white stuff on the glass? The white film on the glass is from combustion gases. In older gas fireplaces silicone was used when the fireplace was built, and the silicone may be giving off gases. Sometimes the top and sides of the fire box develop a white powder, you could call it white soot.

How can I praise this company higher than 5 stars? Absolutely PHENOMENAL customer service! Jeff educated me, replaced my pilot assembly, cleaned the entire unit and all while wearing booties (to keep my house clean) and a smile. Vic. in the office was sensational too. She got me next day service and it wasn't even an emergency. The attached pic may not look like it but, to me- it's a picture of victory!! Extremely happy with CT G F! Forget the rest, these folks are the best!!

The entire experience from making an appointment to payment after service was exceptional—efficient, helpful, and friendly. He was quite knowledgeable and his diagnosis and fix didn’t require all the expensive parts another company said was needed. His rates were affordable and exactly what I was told it would be—no surprises. I recommend you call this company first for your fireplace needs.

Just had Jeff repair our gas fireplace. He was on time, quick and efficient. He put shoe covers on his shoes, had a mat to put on the floor. Explained what was wrong with the fireplace and took me throught the startup and shut down process. Highly recommend Ct Gas Fireplace. Plus his service van is top notch, very clean and all parts are cataloged!

We are very happy with the work of Jeff Barile, owner of CT Gas Fireplace, LLC. He came soon after we called and he was on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. He took our fireplace apart, cleaned everything, made a necessary repair, replaced batteries, cleaned everything, took a CO reading, and cleaned the glass. He was efficient and did a great job. Highly recommended.

If I, or any of my friends ever need the name of someone to service their gas fireplace, I will DEFINITELY recommend CT Gas Fireplace. We were treated with respect and courtesy by the office staff, with calls made to confirm our appointment. Jeff came to service our fireplace and he arrived on time and was very professional, knowledgeable, clean and provided us with alternatives based on what was needed on our job. We’ve had several other people over to fix this thing and they were unable to tell us what the issue was, let alone make suggestions as to what to do. Jeff was the only one to diagnose

Eleven years ago I bought my gas fireplace from a company in Georgia and it worked perfectly until the end of 2017. It began to intermittently shut off and became difficult to restart. Two West Hartford companies came in to fix it (both told me I never should have bought it on the Internet) and both repair companies were unable to get it to "stay fixed" for more than a few days. A co-worker told me about Jeff Barile who scheduled me for three days later, came in and took it all apart, immediately diagnosed the problem, cleaned everything and put it back together. Excellent service with very quick results. I was able to get an appointment quickly and Jeff arrived right on time. He knew exactly what needed to be serviced and what did not. He took the time to explain all of the steps as he completed them and offered many options for improved performance. This is a one man operation and a lifesaver. We have a builder installed gas fireplace and no one will service anything they don't install or sell but for this guy: Jeff Barile. He took our fireplace apart, cleaned it, and repaired it: it never worked as well as it does now when it was new. If you are stuck then call Jeff. I know this sounds over the top but we are also leaving Monroe and as a condition of sale the fireplace had to work. IT DOES NOW!
