I hired 2nd Generation to inspect the fireplace and chimney of an older home I purchased. Our home inspector had informed us the fireplace was most likely not safe to operate. This inspection led to the subsequent replacement of our chimney, installation of a new fireplace insert (which greatly improved our fireplace façade), and eviction of the squirrel family that had taken up residence. The team was professional, took time to explain everything, and worked with us through every detail.

Tyler and crew installed a chimney liner and connected to new water heater. This work was done in January under very challenging conditions - roof pitch, snow cover and feeding the liner through an exiting pipe from roof to basement. Tyler led from the front and did all the tricky roof work himself. 2nd Gen did an outstanding job and were very positive about the project despite the challenges. Would most certainly use again for chimney work.

Gentleman who came to the house to clean our Ducts and vents was friendly and informative. He explained everything needed and offered additional services in case we needed them as well. Haven’t had our ducts cleaned in some time so he did a lot of work. Thank you for the good service. I would also add that we received 2 reminder of service calls from the office. One week and then one day prior.

We had 2nd Generation Chimney come out and install and insert and a chimney liner, after an inspection showed it was not safe, because it was 48 years old. Matthias and his crew did an outstanding job. Right on time, they were very knowledgeable and informative, answered all of our questions, very thorough. I am very happy with service, it is great to deal with businesses that are competent and get the job done correctly. Highly recommend if you need any chimney work done or need questions answered, give them a call.

The crew was on time, did a complete inspection of the damage to our chimney and gave me a comprehensive estimate for the repairs. Additionally, Tyler offered some suggestions on how to keep the damage from getting worse until the repairs can be made in the spring. The only down side was the cost of the repairs. But based on the amount of work to be done I think its accurate. We've scheduled the work to be done as soon as possible. I would recommend 2nd Gen to anyone who needs this type of work done.

We needed an estimated for the Chimney. Matthias was on time, polite, jobs was clean, he gave us clear information and options. Both friendly but still very professionals. 10 0f 10 for the service. Expensive for an estimate, but that doesn't depend on them. The technicians did excellent. It was a good experience.
