James is one of the best I know. He has a tremendous amount of subject matter expertise and he will bend over backwards to help you out. He is always willing to share his opinion and thoughts. Could not speak more highly of the quality of the work he does.

Sunset Construction removed our old septic system and installed a new one. James and his crew did an outstanding job for us! Considering we had an extremely tight space to get into and work around with trees and flower gardens, they were able to do what they needed without hurting anything in the yard or making a huge mess. James was so professional and knowledgeable, his crew was outstanding and Tracy in the office was on top of everything at all times. We can't say enough about Sunset Construction; absolutely the best at what they do!

James did a great job getting the design, permit, and construction done for our septic system. Very neat work, and they really cleaned up the job site afterward. He worked with me to use some existing trenches to save money and even installed the safety tape in the trench that the gas company left for us. Once construction started, they work straight through until the job was done.

James Kuykendall, Jr. is the owner & operator of Sunset Construction, and also was the Chief Engineer on the site during construction of my septic tank.
The construction of my septic tank was unusually complicated in that it was a replacement tank and drain field that had to be planned and constructed on the opposite side of my driveway than the original septic tank and drain field.
I am extremely impressed with James’ knowledge and attention to detail. All work was done in an excellent manner. James dealt with the person who did the plan for the site, and the Travis County Inspector. The inspection

So I contacted James about replacing the broken lid on my septic tank. he came out, took a look and gave me a bid within a few days. He stayed in constant communication with me during the process and the day that him and his crew came out, all I can say is WOW, what a great job...............................
