Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service was founded in 2006 by Robbie Markey in the Raleigh/Durham area after falling in love with "God's Country." He landed in North Carolina after moving from Ireland to New York and then to Apex. He found home here and wanted a way to give back to his neighbors and to protect the land he has come to appreciate so much.

Luke gave me an extremely thorough explanation of the corrective work that would be done on my chimney to stop water leaking into my house. The price was competitive but their expertise was far above others who quoted the work. The office staff was very pleasant, communicative and timely. Rodrigo, the tech who did the work, was extremely professional, showed me pictures of the work they had completed and explained what next steps would be. I would highly recommend them.

Thank you Mr. Smokestack for sending your best! The Donny and Chris team who rebuilt my aging chimney completely, did a fantastic job. I could not be more satisfied! They were pleasant, professional, and kept me informed the entire time they worked on the chimney—no more rain down the chimney or leak around the fireplace. Professional, great communication, and thorough. Received a call shortly after leaving a voicemail for the initial appointment set up, quick scheduling and easy to do. On the day of service, the technician, Cullen called to let me know he was running a bit early and would be at my place soon; even received a call from the office - thank you again for the great communication!
Cullen was very polite and professional the whole time, pointed out a few things to look for down the road and took time to look at things I didn't know needed to be looked at.

This service also included removing old gas logs and capping the gas line so we can burn wood in our fireplace. Everything was very professional and done well. Rodrigo was very polite, kept everything clean, and gave us a good explanation of his findings. We got a great report with photos of everything and recommendations for what needs attention in the future. There was no "hard sell", which we appreciated. We will use Mr Smokestack for future repairs and cleaning.

I was very impressed with Mr Smokestack Chimney Service. Rodrigo was very professional and courteous. Rodrigo called ahead of arrival to check and make sure it was good to come out. I had to leave messages with the customer service representatives when scheduling the service, however they were very quick to respond (within a few hours). I would recommend Mr. Smokestack if you are looking for work on your gas fireplace.

Working with Mr. Smokestack was easy and they are very responsive. Our gas fireplace hadn't worked properly for years and we finally decided to replace it. Mr. Smokestack has a good reputation so we decided to see if they could help. First meeting was informative and nothing was pushed on us. We got lots information to help us decide which route to go. When I had questions, I got answers quickly and thorough. When it was time to install the unit, Greg and his trainee came to install it and were efficient and took time to teach me the details of the new unit. Will use them again!

The quoting process was smooth and the installation team was a great experience. I had an upgrade to the old gas fire log set that was 26 yrs old. Mr. Smokestack had website links with pics and videos to help us pick out new logsets. The installers focused on safety and double checked for gas leaks. They also trained me on lighting the pilot light and use with the remote control. I have also used them to inspect the chimney and recap the portion above the roof. Great company!
