Used this service in the spring for a sweep and inspection. Bait and switch pricing: what was told on the phone versus what was demanded the day of service (after the fact). And I do mean DEMANDED! Threatened my wife when she disagreed with day of pricing versus what was told over the phone. Told my wife he wouldn't get out of bed for that amount and that he WOULD be paid one way or another and refused to leave otherwise. To throw more shady behavior on top had her write the check directly to him rather than the business. Save your money and peace of mind and look elsewhere for your chimney services

I paid for an inspection with the understanding that I would be getting an invoice and an estimate for any required repairs. One month after the inspection was done, I didn't get any documents and I lost the ability to submit the expense for reimbursement. I was told that pretty much everything needs to be re-done for the total of 18k for three chimneys. Another company completed all repairs for 1.7k.

We have been using Mr Soot Chimney Sweeps for 4 years now, starting back to when we first bought our house. It gave us peace of mind knowing that our chimney was cleaned and inspected by such professionals.
He arrived on time and came with everything necessary to take care of the job that day. He checked the exterior as well as the interior which included a tarp to collect any mess he might have made during the cleaning and inspection process. When he was done, he walked us through any trouble spots he saw as well as took the extra time to look into a few things for us ( we've had issues
