Marc Hatch grew up in Seattle and graduated from Ballard High School. Go Beavers! He has been a journeyman plumber for 25 years, and prides himself on offering expert customer service with a smile. Marc believes the best part of his job is getting to know his clients on a personal level. Many have been with him since the beginning and have become friends.
What a great service! Marc was fast (came over the day I called him), professional and charged what the estimate was even though he ended up changing out another part! Marc followed up a day later to make sure my toilet was working properly and said he would come by if I had any concerns at all! Wow! It's really hard to find all of these qualities in a plumber today!

Scam all the way. Paid $755 for a job that would have been $400. Then he tried to sell me (a woman alone) on over $800 more repairs. When I called several others, they quoted me $300.
While he was here, Marc was really pushy on me writing a positive review. He said if I gave him cash, I wouldn't have to pay any tax on the job.
Worst thing was he didn't fix the problem. Two weeks later, we had to call a reputable plumber to come fix the exact problem I showed the new plumber the receipt from Marc and he said "Wow! He charged you double the going rate and didn't even fix it

My shower mixer valve sprung a leak a few days before Thanksgiving. Although it was a holiday period, Marc came out within an hour to help stop the leak. He was back again a week later to do the full replacement of the shower hardware. Marc and team replaced the bad valve and piping with minimal cutting into the drywall behind. The work was top notch and the service was great.
Emergency callout was ~$600, and the mixer valve repair was ~$1100.

I called Marc because he had good reviews on Yelp. He was very nice and came to our house at 2PM to install a new dishwasher and unclog a drain. The job started off poorly, due to no fault of Marc's. He said our electrical box was not labeled properly and it took him at least 45 minutes to get the power cut to the kitchen. He then pulled the old dishwasher out and OMG, did it go terribly wrong! Marc could not figure out how to get the new dishwasher in. He kept breaking the framing clips, told me KitchenAid didn't send the right parts and asked if I would run to Ace Hardware to get the

A good friend of ours has a machine that detects moisture in the walls, after using it, we realized we had some sort of a leak going on. I was in a panic and swear called EVERY SINGLE PLUMBER on yelp. Marc was the only plumber who actually talked us through our problem. He wasn't able to come out that day, but after hearing what the issue was he knew what it could be (which he was right) and was able to calm our nerves from fearing the worst.
When he did come, he was able to finish the job quickly and was priced very reasonable!
A break through plumbing will definitely be my go to plumbing

We had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday that Mark came out and took care of at a reasonable price. We were very appreciative of his work. It was a temporary fix that restored water to the house. Then he came back to "finish" the job. Here's where it gets interesting. He returned later that week and completed tbe work we had agreed on, kinda. We agreed that the laundry room water supply needed to be updated. The work took Mark and an employee an hour and a half. That brought the total time spent at just over 2 hours. We were charged $1100! $300 for the 1st visit (fine, no problem

I would not recommend Marc. He gave us a quote of $1,200 to install a new bathtub. When we asked him to explain the price, he dropped it to $1,000 as a "one time" offer. We needed the job done, his other yelp reviews were pretty good, and all the other plumbers we called were booked solid. So we went with him. He sent someone else to do the work (which he didn't tell us would be the case). My Dad was here that day, working elsewhere in the house, and it turned out the guy that Marc sent required my Dad's help for most of the day. At the end of the day, Marc showed up and demanded

I needed an appliance installed. It required some special parts which Marc carried in his truck. The appluance was expertly installed with alacrity. Just before he arrived we had a plumbing emergency which he handled immediately.
I was very much impressed by Marc's knowledge, professionalism and how well he was prepared to meet our special challenges. Not only that but he was friendly and a pleasure to work with. Marc is my forever plumber

Similar to the person from a recent review, I was quoted one price over the phone and, almost immediately, felt like I was being prepped for the classic bait and switch, with a stern, repeated warning that if ANY extra work had to be done, I would be charged accordingly. The fellas did have to dig a bit extra but, for the most part, the leak and repairs were what and where we suspected. No big surprises there.
I suspect Mark underbid the job and, in an effort to recoup his loss, inflated the final bill to a whopping $500, revealed only after the work was completed. What's more, he swore

We had an emergency and Mark was at our house in an hour. He diagnosed the problems very quickly and accurately, went to work and had everything working better than ever in about another 90 minutes. Very impressive from start to finish. Thoughtful, thorough and excellent at communicating both the problems and the solutions. I am hanging onto his card and while I hope not to need his services anytime soon, I am very grateful I now have the name and number of a terrific plumber.

I was referred to Marc at A-Breakthrough Plumbing and Remodeling as a part of "get your house ready to sell" process through our realtor team. We had an old, old water heater and needed a replacement ASAP. Marc gave me a quote over the phone after I sent him pictures measures through text. He came in the same week, was prompt, no nonsense/straight shooter. Fantastic. I would call him again if we had any issues that they are specialists in.

Mark came to my house to fix a leak coming from my dining room ceiling! He claimed it was the tub overflow valve. So he cut a hole in my ceiling and replaced it. 3 days later water is pouring from the hole he cut in my ceiling. Mark came back and determined that it was not the overflow it was cracked piping in the bathroom (another hole cut in my son's room). He constantly spoke about how terrible my piping was, but he would warranty his work for 2 years. 1 month or so later, water is coming through ceiling hole again. Mark is back and said the other side of the work he did now cracked.

Mark and his crew worked with my contractor on a remodel project in my basement
adding a kitchen and bathroom. As part of the remodel he had to reconfigure a
complicated tangle of pipes in my garage and we discovered my galvanized pipes
needed replacing too. I was able to get the entire job done with the additional new water service for a reasonable price and on time. Later I had some problems with drainage in the basement kitchen. Mark returned, snaked out the old clog, and gave me some down to earth preventive maintenance advice. I was very pleased with his work
