They are awesome - very professional and knowledgeable. I'm not so sure those other reviews for less than five stars are valid - they don't look legit. I would highlly recommend this company for excellent quality work.

I have had tenants in my apartment since I moved back to San Francisco. Upon returning to Honolulu, I did a walk through and saw that I needed to replace my carpet for three rooms. I contacted them from San Francisco and when I was home, it was easier to meet face to face. I was told a deposit was made on Thursday and they wanted to move in by Monday. Brent, the owner was great, I was able to get my carpet installed on Saturday. Bobby the installer was great. Both he and another worker did an excellent and professional job. When I came back carpet looked great, clean up was all done. Yes

They dropped the ball in getting back to make contact and providing an estimate promptly (I called back one week later). They proceeded to tell me they deal mainly with commercial and not that much in residential.

Well if that was said on the website I would not have contacted this firm in the first place.

Told me they'd refer me to another flooring firm as they were swamped presently..

I recently had my house renovated and island flooring did a phenomenal job on the floors. They told me how long it would take before hand and even finished earlier than expected. My wife and I were so glad that we used island flooring that we decided to use them again on our other home. Galen and Mikey really did a terrific job.

We were looking to replace the carpeting in our office building and fielded quotes from several local vendors. From a pricing perspective Island Flooring was equal to or better than all of our comps. When it came to the actual work, the installers were highly professional and considerate of our needs and environment. Renovating office-wide flooring can be a disruption to the workplace but Island Floorings' team helped to make the process as quick and seamless as possible.

I couldn't be happier with Island Flooring's installation. The installers were extremely professional and worked around my schedule to complete the project. The new floors look great and it costed much less than I anticipated.

We had island Flooring remove the carpet in the house and replaced it with laminate. They leveled the floor and repaired some water damage in the wall. I was impressed with the work done throughout the house. The sales people and installers were very professional. I highly recommend Island Flooring.

Honestly, this is a true local company doing biz old school style aka local style. They mean well but it's hard to train old dogs. But if you don't know local style you may have some negativity. They have a great supply and resources and if you have some patience you'll find they have great Aloha. I'm writing this after my first experience with them and can really understand what the other reviewers are saying. Try em' they good people. Local Style....and I agree they need to change. They put in carpet and wood floors in our condo and did a great job. Their guys moved our furniture and appliances, making it very easy on us. We'd choose them again in a heartbeat.

Recommended by a co-worker, who was satisfied with a recent carpet purchase. No answer at the phone numbers given, and the website is non-existent--typical old school mom and pop is my guess. Dropped by their office/warehouse, and older lady barked at me that I needed to make an appointment. How can I when no body answers the phone, or returns voice messages??? I am re-flooring two homes with another company.

Here's the thing - In order for a "by appointment only" business to prosper, someone on their end needs to answer the phone to schedule said appointment.

During a period of two days, I called every hour, on the hour and got recordings every. single. time. It's quite the shame, really - I wanted to re-floor my entire home.
