A 1960s Kitchen Renovation for Hillsdale The owners of this 1961 home nestled in the Hillsdale neighborhood in the Southwest section of Portland wanted to renovate their kitchen and dining room. They were referred to Spectrum Homes from the Healy Heights renovation we'd completed - as the owners are sisters.
I wanted to send a quick note to tell you how much we are loving our new kitchen and bathroom. They have really changed our life for the better. Everything was done with such an attention to detail, from Crystal's refinements and attention to details in our early designs to something we are MUCH happier with, perfect cabinet layouts, storage, countertops, including items/details we didn't even know to ask for.

Spectrum (Steve Amick) remodeled our kitchen 2 yrs ago. I was disappointed with the how the project went at the time and I continue to be disappointed with elements of how it all turned out. I do not recommend hiring them for your kitchen remodel.
We chose Spectrum/Steve because (1) he took some notes at the initial meeting whereas other remodelers tended not to, (2) the bid price ($90K) seemed more reasonable than others ($120-$160K), and (3) the estimated time frame was 6 weeks, not 4 months of some other remodelers, (4) he offered design services, and (5) we wanted semi-custom cabinets, not

I remodeled my 1950's kitchen. Spectrum Homes was the company I chose to do the remodel. Even on the first consultation, I noticed how efficient and organized they were. During the remodel, I always knew what was happening, who was coming that day, and Spectrum Homes was always available to check in with me and make sure that I was happy with the outcome of each stage. We have used Spectrum Homes for four upgrades on our Eastmoreland home: A new guest room and bath; A new front porch; A bathroom remodel, and an extensive remodel of our kitchen. We are enormously impressed with Steve's work. So much so that on the kitchen remodel we didn't even try to get competing bids. Of course, he and his subs do thoroughly professional work. But one of Steve's strong points is his ability to schedule the entire job in advance, then stay on that schedule and finish the job on time. Another reason we like working with him is his practice of showing all the cost calculations

I had a bathtub removed and a shower installed and the service and the detail
to everything was excellent. a lot of research on their part as to what I actually wanted in regards to a shower installation. I wanted an extensive shower unit with jets and hand held and over head water release so rather detailed and the placement so that I could sit down if necessary. The removal of old and the cleanup was
very professional. I would highly recommend this company for any type of work or remodeling that you would like..................
