Kater floors exceeded my expectations. Phil, Ben, Josh & Dave are all professional, detail oriented and extremely competent. We used them to finish our hardwood floors (some of which we have never seen, buried under carpeting) and to re-tile a bathroom and fireplace. I have worked and hired people in all trades, and having a skilled, well qualified and meticulous team like the Kater flooring group adds a level of comfort and assurance when undertaking a large project.

We used Kater Floor many years ago and the work was perfect. We moved into a new old house this Spring and used Kater again to refinish and stain floors in some rooms and install new floors in two other rooms. The work by the new generation was just as perfect as that done years ago.

I found Kater Floors through their excellent reviews on Nextdoor, as well as an acquaintance had used them with rave reviews. Every aspect of our job exceeded expectations. We had a refrigerator leak while we were out of town and it ruined part of our hardwood floors. They came and removed the damaged boards, let them dry out and replaced them in a timely manner. At our request, they came back a month later while we on vacation to do the staining of our floors. Because I wanted to change the color of our floors, they came out prior to the job and put down 4 different colors so we could see how

I hired Kater Floor Service to repair the concrete floor and lay new tile in my basement. Once the existing floor had been removed from our basement, I realized the project was going to be a lot more complicated than originally anticipated, because the concrete floor had settled in several spots and was incredibly uneven. Kater Floor Service came out to provide an estimate and were honest about the current condition. They came up with a plan to level the floor and spent several days leveling the floor in stages to get the concrete as flat as possible. I'm so glad I chose them, because it was clear

We hired Kater Floor Service to sand and restore an original red oak hard wood floor that was under our carpeting. House was built in 1962 When we hired Kater Floor Service originally we though the original red oak floor continued in dinning room but it did not so i called Phil and explained that it did not and what could we do? They were able to match wood but came in shorter lengths than original floor but were able to stager them in so transitioned very well! Phil described and matched the sample he gave us perfectly. We are so pleased with the tile work done on our kitchen floor! Ben and Josh are extremely talented and perform meticulous work. From the floor demo to the new install, they worked so hard. And, it's such a plus to have personable and friendly tradesmen in your house. They cleaned up each day and kept us updated on their progress. The tile work is perfect, level and very attractive. We are really glad we hired Kater Floor Service to re-tile our kitchen floor.

Kater floor service was AMAZING!! Phil was great returning phone calls prior to the job starting. His sons did a beautiful job pulling out our gross carpet in all rooms and laid vinyl plank. Very nice guys and professional and very detail oriented!! Our floors are gorgeous!! I didn't feel uncomfortable leaving our place for errands. They had to remove the tile from our bathrooms and didn't up-charge. Very happy with the family owned business and the passion these guys have for doing beautiful work!!

We recently had them out to our home to remove carpeting and replace it with LVT and Oak flooring on the stairs. The stairs were completed with the fit and finish of master craftsmen, it is absolutely beautiful! The removal of the carpeting and floor prep is usually disgusting and messes up the rest of the home. The crew at our home kept the mess to an absolute minimum and at the end of the day the project area was clean and organized. The best compliment I can say is that they knew the project, timing, and scope of project. The best part is we paid what we were quoted and had no overages

I knew going into this project that all the floor scratches would not come out with a cleaning and buffing, but they led me to believe some would and the floor would at least look shiny again. The floor looks worse, even though they came back out and took off the wax they put on, which they were not supposed to do in the first place. The floors look horrible and they are in my parents home who are 91 and 93 and they are sick about it.

I should have just left well enough alone or listen to the other companies that came out and not touched them.

We needed both bathroom floors to be totally redone. They helped us in understanding the work, the options in selecting the flooring, and the schedule. They were trustworthy in accessing our home. They even identified an issue that had caused some of the problem in one of our floors and accommodated that fix within their schedule. The floors look great! We will choose them for future flooring work.

I do not understand any review for Kater that is less than outstanding. I live in a 3-story townhouse, that was pretty well-filled -- with carpet and tile throughout. I asked Kater to replace virtually every square inch with new wood flooring.I had to empty every room and hired them to take on the project. Their quote was not the least expensive nor the most. It appeared reasonable to me. I must tell you that the project was daunting: I had to live in the space during the work. They made sure I was comfortable throughout. I packed the smaller objects and they moved my furnishings around. The floors
