Both business and residential moving services are available. Complete Unpack Moving Services: We will help by unpacking and setting up kitchens, offices, file cabinets, garages, and other rooms.
Unfortunately, despite great care, there is always the remote possibility that some damage may occur. We, at AK Movers, insure the goods of all of our customers. The standard liability for all licensed movers is $0.60 per pound per article. However, additional insurance can be secured at a rate of $10.00 per $1000.00 of declared value.

AK Movers did a great job from start to finish. Art was responsive even during a busy moving season. Luis and Jose went above and beyond with the actual move--super speedy at packing and unpacking the truck, careful with more delicate items, and undaunted by unexpected stairs and slow elevators. Not a single item was broken or damaged--and they were nice to boot!

AK Movers is a complete fraud! Check BBB website for the claims against this moving company! I wish I would have done it before scheduling AK Movers for our relocation! When I asked the business owner Art to give me the estimate for our upcoming relocation, he sent me an email back saying that he is confused about me asking for the estimate. It was a BIG RED FLAG and one of the reasons for my cancellation. Of course, I never received my deposit money back either. When I asked for the deposit money back, Art sent me another email saying that it was the last minute cancellation. Does 10 day

I highly recommend AK Movers! I had a situation fall through over the weekend and reached out Saturday night and they reached out immediately to schedule for the following Wednesday. They were on time and made the process very seamless. I worked with Luis and Jorge and they were such a pleasure! I moved into a storage unit so when I need to move out I'll be sure to reach out to schedule with them.

The good: The company was responsive and the movers worked quickly.
The bad: The movers were over an hour late. My dining table and chairs sustained a lot of damage because they were moved unprotected even though furniture padding and protection was supposed to be included in the price.
Price: $600 to move a studio apartment within a 10 mile radius + $40 tip

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was expecting very good service since they were one of the top rated moving companies in the area. They didn't wear their masks even though they were asked to wear them. We are still in the middle of the pandemic. In the middle of the move, one of the movers goes into my bathroom and locks both doors. At least ask before going. They were also very rude and moved at a slow pace (they charge per hour). Very bad customer service over all.

Great company, all other moving companies in the area gave me an estimate that is 60-80% over AK Movers with less services and labor!
I had Turan and Audrey helping me today from Georgetown and those men are just great and honest!
Finished their job within the estimated time, no hidden fees or typical dishonest moves by other companies!

Negative 10 stars. Hired AK Movers for 4-bed MD to VA move on 06/20/20. I told Art we had a lot of stuff. I emailed on 6/14 telling Art to bring a big truck. He said he could bring 2-20ft trucks for a $100 more - NOT included in the estimate. Art and 3 men arrived on 6/20 with 2-20ft trucks. Workers were courteous. No one wore a mask or gloves; they put stuff on the truck with no organization; Art barked orders all day, never let them take a break - my husband bought them bottled water; Art yelled at me for having too much stuff; at the new house, I kept asking that they put down blankets and he

I just need a moving company to help move my furniture from the 11th floor to the 5th floor in the same building. Unfortunately, this is not the moving company to use if you are moving within your building because the cost will be the same.
Note: The owner didn't think I had a right to post this review since I didn't use their service.

Art and his team at AK Movers made our move hassel free. They showed up 15 minutes early ready to go. The load up was smooth and efficient. Art and his team maneuvered the truck great, parking it right in front of our townhouse. The crew was very careful with our stuff and was easy to work with. They took care to protect our hardwood floors and had all of our furniture wrapped in blankets. They also stayed on schedule and met the anticipated time to finish the move. We've dealt with a lot of movers and AK Movers was great. I highly recommend using AK Movers.
