I have done a serious research while looking for a company that could provide full packing and moving of my 4 bedroom house into my new home few miles away. I spoke with different moving company's managers, received different quotes and in the end decided to go with Cloud9 Moving because of the best quote and most importantly the most friendly and professional moving coordinator, Irene.
Btw, I also didnt want to worry about time and supplies cost (those can really add up) so Irene offered to provide me with an all inclusive flat rate and it worked out perfectly! Everything from the first in-house estimate to planning of where each piece of furniture will be placed in my new home to the actual moving day was masterfully coordinated and executed.

Quite possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had with a professional organization! I wish I had more space to write out the complete story regarding my experience with Cloud 9. What started out well quickly turned into a nightmare. The moving team leader, Dennis, quickly became upset when he realized our move was going to take him longer than anticipated and was annoyed that he had to move in the rain. I bought a LivingSocial deal for 2 movers, a truck, and 3 hours for $250. When I contacted them, they added another $350 in fees - $99 for a treadmill, $99 for a mini fridge, $99 for a deep freezer the size of a mini fridge, $49 for packing and handling a China cabinet (we don't have a China cabinet but their lists didn't have an option for a 6' shelf with a door).
They also told us that we had to get 4 movers and a larger truck even though I told them I don't need them to move everything, just the big stuff and anything else that would fit in the small truck.

I'm really disappointed in the way this company treats potential customers. As soon as I mentioned my Groupon, the employee started to treat me like a third-class customer. She was rude, loud and argumentative. There is no way that I would trust my worldly goods to a company that treats their customers with such disrespect. Very disappointed.

Irene was extremely nice on the phone. I had difficulty arranging for the freight elevator at both destinations, so I had to move late in the day. Irene actually went to one of the locations in person to talk to the family that had reserved the elevator and learned they would finish much earlier than expected, and adjusted my move to be earlier free of charge.
The movers wore masks and were very fast and respectful. There was a delay waiting to get access to the freight elevator at my destination, and I was not charged for the waiting time.

I would highly recommend this company for your move. They were professional and efficient from the time I called to get a quote to the follow up after the move. When the movers arrived (on time), they surveyed the apartment and then got to work. They finished within the time allotted and were extremely efficient.

I recently moved into a new condo and Cloud9 made my life a whole lot easier. I was going to do the move myself, however I decided to reach out to a few companies and Irene emailed me within moments with amazing moving detail/pricing/etc. I was worried about the pandemic and social distancing, but Irene settled all of my nerves by accomodating for a safe distance pickup and drop off amy new condo. Cloud9 Moving is a find! Irene quoted a highly competitive price and was able to accommodate some last minute changes. Once the crew arrived, they did not stop moving. No down time, no standing around, if one of the crew was transporting items to the truck, the other was thinking ahead and taking items apart. Irene checked in on the move herself. I had a basic, straightforward move, and Cloud9 did a great job in making it happen. Irene, the manager, was very pleasant and easy to deal with. When the movers were late to arrive because of DC traffic, she called me to explain in advance. The price was good, and there were no pesky "extras" that were added. I can fully recommend this local company.

Long overdue review - I decided to go with Cloud9 after making some calls for estimates and looking at various reviews for other companies. Both the high reviews and the super affordable estimate drew me in, and boy am I glad I did. My move ended up taking over an hour longer than anticipated because of several factors (none from Cloud9), and there was a long hallway to go down to my new apartment, and Irene + crew never complained or said a negative word. Actually you did tell me it would take longer because of the stairs. And you did tell me you couldn't do out of state moves because of insurance reasons. I have no reason to lie, you as a company do. I had all intentions of hiring you until half a move cost the same as a whole move.
Best of luck but trying to lie on Yelp to save your ridiculous estimate and insurance problems is pretty shady to future customers.

I would also give them 5 stars but with the Groupon of 275.00 which includes 4 hours..The work was almost 8 hours due to the following; extra distance from truck to apt 275.00, disassemble and reassemble a wardrobe and daybed 75 each 300.00, surcharge 5% of using a credit card.
Grand total 1276.00!!!
I fed them coffee through the day, pizza, more beverages and gave them an extra 20.00 each for tip for two guys.
Not sure if I'm gonna make the next rent payment..lol

Wow, these guys are great. moved fron Fairfax va to silver spring Maryland. had a ton of stuff and my move team did a great job . showed up early worked efficiantly and carefully and wrapped up the job in less time than we had booked. I highly recommend them for any move you may have. oh and their prices are super fair too.

UPDATE: I didn't use the service and got refund from Groupon was because of the pricing changes. It is funny there is no apology instead but accusation of false information. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! Absolutely an amazing job! Alex and another guy come in and knocked it out! Wrapped everything and made sure things were secure. They even had bins for cumbersome items that I didn't know how to pack. They were life savers again when they pulled out the wardrobe boxes. Very professional and courteous! I wanted to leave feedback on Cloud9 Moving, especially Irene. When I found out Irene was no longer with her previous moving company and started working with Cloud9, I moved my business to her. I typically need movers from time to time for my business, and only trust a few moving companies to move the equipment I use. Irene and her team at Cloud9, care about their customers, and really go out of the way make sure things get taken cared of.
