From the family's beginning as a large American oak antique dealer on the west coast to the owning and operating a furniture factory in Mexico. The York family has seen a little bit of everything, including a few years of importing Chinese Antiques.

Denali Furniture and Ben are fantastic. I would give 10 stars if that was an option. Loved that I could pick the slabs for my table and benches so I ended up with exactly what I wanted. My table and benches are absolutely incredible - I was speechless when I saw the finished project. I have to admit that when I saw one Denali’s tables in a wine bar in Portland, I didn’t think I’d be able to afford one. However, that wasn’t the case and I highly recommend stopping in if it’s something you’re interested in purchasing. Ben is so knowledgeable, has great ideas, and takes pride in his work

I’d give 6 stars if I could. Ben and crew care deeply about their work and it shows. We looked at a bunch of different wood slabs for a dining table, and they joyfully drove around in forklifts getting them out for viewing. From there, lots of attention and thoughtful questions to make sure everything turns out just right. Couldn’t be happier.

The entire experience was great!! When we chose the wood for the table, Ben and his team showed us many options and discussed the relative merits of each slab. They worked to our schedule and delivered on time. For the size table we wanted, we needed to have a piece off the slab cut off and Ben suggested we use the remnant for a bench. We agreed and, after the bench was completed, realized we'd measured wrong and would need to have and additional 1.5'" removed to make the bench fit in an alcove. This is the 2nd table I have bought from Denali Furniture and again the craftsmanship is incredible and I find their prices very reasonable. My girlfriend and I had a custom made, live edge dining table made by Denali earlier this year. We worked with the owner Ben York to design a table with Spalted Maple to fit the exact dimensions of our dining area, and even chose a custom pedestal base to go with it. We live in the Bay Area, so Ben sent us photos along the way while the table was being produced, and had it shipped with white glove delivery and installation. I ordered a custom maple dining table from Denali Furniture after coming across their Instagram. The amount of design choices you have from wood slab to leg style is unreal. Ben was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and communicative throughout the process. The table is exactly as I’d envisioned and overall was finished much quicker than I anticipated.

WOW! We just received our gorgeous Elm dining table, which was carefully, and thoughtfully constructed by Ben and his team at Denali Furniture. Pricing is fair, craftsmanship is top notch, quality of materials are nothing but amazing. Can't say enough about this company. Easy to work with, and an amazing product, for a great price. I can tell you that I've ordered thousands of dollars of furniture through this company for years - whether it's a small order or large - and I get the same service every time: hand shake, attention to detail and fair pricing. If anything has gone wrong with my order they fix it and then some (basically they over deliver very time). This family run company makes me proud to support small businesses in the United States. We had a very great experience with Ben and his crew. Denali worked with us to design and build furniture for our office including conferences tables, a custom reception desk, a bookcase and a collaboration table. All the pieces are very unique and truly add a very cool element to our office. Denali was easy to work with and did not back away from any design challenges.

If only the worker (manager?) had deigned to come out of his glassed in office in order to greet us or offer us help, we might've bought something.
We wandered around for 5-10 minutes, and were not acknowledged by anyone working there, so we left. Too bad, because the prices were not terrible and some of the pieces were nice.

WHAT A JOKE!!!! Don't be fooled. Other furniture makers do a better job on quality. Very rude owner. We had Two pieces on hold came in to pay and they said that they sold it on Accident. They did not care or were sorry about it. We ended up purchasing our dining, living room and accent furniture at The Joinery on Woodstock in S.E. PDX. The owner's son was a real smart A@#$%$# !!! Not good Business men. Will never refer them. Stay away...

I have just purchased my second piece of furniture from Denali and aside from the "showroom" being a little rough around the edges, cluttered and dusty, the pieces are all super unique and a decent value (especially when they rock the 40-60% off). Many of their pieces are imports from China and they also make things on site. I have had them deliver both pieces for a mere $20 a pop and they have always been on time and easy to deal with. A nice change from all the press-board, assembly required, boxed up furniture that is so abundant. I would highly recommend checking them out if you

My wife and I bought a coffee table from these guys a little over a year ago. We'd looked around for something unique, but we couldn't find anything that we liked for under $750. What we got was a butcher block recycled metal/wood table that is totally unique. Buying from these guys ended up saving us tons of money and we got a showpiece for our house that everyone asks about. If I was back in Portland and in need of more furniture I'd absolutely buy from them.
