Our toddler locked us out of our bathroom and they came right away. Our old Hyde Park condo had a strange lock and they had to go back to their shop three times to get the right tools which they did without complaint. When the job was finished there was a slight malfunction and they came back within 10 minutes to adjust this and make sure it was correct. We will definitely be coming back for all of our lock and security needs.

I found this business from a Yelp search. I was locked out of my storage unit. As much as I didn't want to pay to get this fixed the service was amazing. They came out within ten minutes and switched my lock. I was so happy because I really wanted to enjoy the weather. Professional, quick and great value. The price was identical to what was quoted on the phone.

We we're ghosted! Tom requested photos of the locks we needed rekeyed, we provided. He said he would get back to us that day, nothing. Called the next day, he said that day, nothing. Called the next Monday and his coworker said Tom would get back to us, nothing. Completely unreliable. Called Chicago Locksmiths and they came the same day.
Sad, wanted to support a local business, but not with that type of customer service.

I just had a lock replaced on my condo door. I want to be clear that I have no complaint about the service. When I called to find out how much it would be. I was told the service call would be $125 and the lock would be $75. Be aware that the service call does not include the first hour of labor. The service call was $125 and the labor rate is $100 per hour. This was not mentioned in the original call when I was trying to determine the cost.

I'll begin by saying that I've written very few Yelp reviews before of any businesses, but I felt compelled to write something in this case. I spoke with the store owner about a problem that I was having with my back door deadbolt lock on an apartment I own in Hyde Park. He asked me to send him photos of the lock and the door, which I did, and he called me right back. He explained that they would be happy to come out and fix it temporarily, but that the issue would in the long-term either require a new door or a contractor to come out and reinforce the door jamb and the door itself

Our locks almost weren't working any more on our front door and we wanted to add a security peep hole as well.
The locksmith arrived right in the middle of the two-hour window we received, was a very pleasant man, did excellent work, and charged a reasonable rate for everything he did. For what more can you ask?

Zero explanation of rates. I ordered two new dead bolt locks. I was told $250 plus $15 for an extra key. Now I am willing to accept that maybe I did not hear him say $250 EACH though it seems to me that they should have made sure I understood that. However, after installation I find that those prices did not include a $70 fee to drive out and labor. So surprise the bill is now $700!!!!!!! When I complained they gave me a 10% discount but the manager tells me that he heard the guy quote me the rates. Did not happen! I am a real estate professional and have lots of experience with contracting for

USE THIS COMPANY. These guys (and possibly gals) are fantastic. Our condo association had them out to replace all of our locks and fix some other lock related issues; every step of the process has been great. This location is a satellite of the main location on the north side and the guy who works in HP is great. He helped me organize how I would get additional keys to unit owners (you can fax in a request and have the owners pick up from and pay at the HP location); this is making it a lot easier for the association to deal with unit owners who need additional keys.
