My 15+ year old American Standard AC stopped working because the compressor had a complete failure. I called Goodman Appliance. Unlike other companies, Mr. Goodman himself answered the phone and I was able to schedule an appointment with him right then and there. Scheduling was so easy and it's always a good thing when you're able to talk directly with the expert, instead of some kid at a call center who doesn't know whether they're on foot or horseback.

Barry at Goodman Appliance is the best! He's honest and does an amazing job. I have called him for year's for my AC, washer/dryer etc. He's punctual and has helped me out so many times! It's nice to know when you really need someone to fix the AC he comes immediately! He's my guardian angel! I can't recommend Goodman Appliance enough!

Barry has been my go-to AC/heating resource for 5 years and this week when the coil on my AC system died, he came right away and measured for a replacement unit, located a new one (some luck here as it was an uncommon type), and showed up with his crew on time several days later to do a difficult install on a third story roof deck. He kept in touch promptly answering questions, and made a heat-wave AC demise and replacement as trouble-free as possible. He went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barry today. He was on time and very considerate of our needs to keep the house clean. He wore a mask and put on booties when walking inside. He is very knowledgeable and solved my AC issues. He is also reasonable. I will be using him from now on for all my AC needs!! Do not look elsewhere!!!

The new owners of our 1950s West Hollywood building hired Goodman Appliance to replace our heating ducts that were wrapped with asbestos. Barry contacted me and explained the entire process from start to finish. He had a third-party asbestos testing company come in and inspect our attic and write up a scope of work for the asbestos abatement company, who he also hired. Everything was handled in compliance with strict SCAQMD standards. I have worked in property management for many years. Goodman and Barry has always been my number one go to vendor/ technician for HVAC repairs. Professional, punctual, and knowledgeable . So there are two yelp accounts for Goodman Appliance, this one with low reviews and another one with great reviews. Im posting on both just in case. Based on this dichotomy, I was very nervous to have them come to the house to replace the entire air conditioning unit BUT they did such a GREAT job. Parts came in and they scheduled me next day. They had 3 workers come in and in a matter of 4 hours they got the entire job complete and we finally have a working system. The workers were very professional and nice. I honestly couldn't be happier with the service so I'm not quite sure

Barry was sent by our home warranty company to repair our HVAC system. He replaced a part on our condenser unit, then a week later the evaporator coil started leaking. The home warranty company then sent Barry back, he looked into the attic, rudely said "your system is not installed correctly" then left. He did not enter the attic nor touch the system. I would up having to hire another company to repair the system, to which they then found problems with the condenser unit that were not repaired when Barry "fixed" the condenser and said it was "fine." Had Goodman come out to fix a central a/c yesterday through Fidelity Home Warranty. The motor blew out the it needed new parts. Thought we'd be out of a/c with this hot LA weather for sometime. Did not know how we'd survive. But, Goodman to the rescue. He was there the very next morning at 9 am, with part in hand. Fix the a/c and it is working beautifully. Thank you Goodman. Thump up for Barry & his crews, we have our unit replaced on 06/27/18, at first i was kind of upset that Barry sounds rude on the phone, but after i met him in person, i found out he is actually a very friendly guy, Barry show up on time and the 3 technicians are professional and hard working, our AC unit was on roof top need big crane, it was scary to see the 400+ pounds unit hanging on sky, work done perfectly, lucky to have AC before the July 5th extreme heat wave. Barry and his guys just finished up installing our new air-conditioning system on our roof. They are a great crew led by a quality person. Barry came out a few weeks before and did a fix on our old system just to keep it running a few weeks longer, but the 20+ year-old system thing was on it's last legs, so when it finally crapped out this month we immediately called Barry who installed a nice and much more efficient Rheem system. And for a good show it was fun and a bit nerve wracking to watch as his crane expert lifted the giant system from the street in front of our house onto the roof

I Ieft a message for this company on Friday. Then called again on Saturday. Finally left another message on Sunday. I call again on Monday and the owner tells me he rejected the claim from my insurance company because his repairman are "out". This is not true. He rejected the claim because it's considered a recall (fixing a prior company's mistake). To not take the claim for this reason is violating his contract. He was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. That's the beauty of Yelp- you do the wrong thing and Khama comes back to haunt you.

After sitting dormant for the summer and fall, our central heat wasn't working. I called Goodman Appliance and they were out to our place within hours. They diagnosed the problem quickly and came back with parts the next morning. Very straightforward communication on the issue, the fix and the cost. I highly recommend them.
