Remember your air filter's main function is to protect the indoor evaporator coil. The secondary function is for indoor air quality. Yet, indoor air quality depends on if you have media filtration. If you have only a slot or space for a 1" thick filter than do not go with a standard filter with a rating over a MERV 8, because we have found that anything higher ob a standard 1" filter creates higher static presented to the system.

I was very pleased with both the service and price for a new HVAC installation. I wasn't pressured at all and I felt like the owner/technician was very honest. The one hang-up was that they don't do financing, which is somewhat inconvenient, but the price was so good we managed to work things out.

Excellent service. Broken AC in Georgia in July. I called at 8:15 this morning. Phil (the owner) was here at 9:30. By 10:15 he had headed out and I have cool air at a fair price. Georgia Spec now occupies the HVAC tab in my contacts.

From start to finish Georgia Spec did a phenomenal job. These guys showed up right on time, were transparent and extremely professional, diagnosed the problem, explained the repair and associated cost and promptly got to work and fixed the problem. Let me tell you, I am a happy camper!! Being without AC with small kids at home is not what you want!! Thank you Georgia Spec!! I would recommend these guys highly. Their approach is professional, highly knowledgeable and straight forward.

Georgia Spec is our go-to heating and air service provider. We moved into our house 8 years ago and discovered we had a pretty bad heating and air system. I have no words to convey our appreciation to Phil and GeorgiaSpec for his professionalism, integrity, skill and customer service. We bought a 20 year home that had a sorely neglected HVAC system. Finally found honest, reliable a/c place!! i've had very bad experiences with a/c techs in the past (see my reviews) and gave up seeking for trustable place but found one!! been calling Georgiaspec for years and always satisfied with their services but didn't want to leave my positive reviews, afraid they'll get too busy... :)

I called Phil on Sunday morning after having issues with my AC unit. I diagnosed it as either electrical/zoning board, or bad transformer issues. I described the problem to him over the phone. He came the same day around 230 per my request and fixed it within 15 minutes. He also gave me tips and schooled me on things that previous HVAC guys did that wasn't appropriate.

When it comes to air conditioning repair! GeorgiaSpec is the way to go! Very dependable service! Phil is awesome! I called them out when my AC unit stopped cooling. I couldn't be happier. Very prompt service. The one thing that surprised me is how honest the repair was. It was not overpriced and Phil was very patient with me. He explained the problem and gave me several options as to how he could fix the problem. He made me feel comfortable. He was very professional and very experienced. I highly recommend them to anyone! I had a home built by D.R Horton and failed to get an inspector for the building process. Everyone told me "Oh you dont need one for a new house" "That's a big builder, you can trust them" I even had an inspector himself tell me that "he wouldnt waste his money with an inspector for the building process because the houses have to be up to code" .... well long story short.. we have had BIG problems with our house. We had Georgia Spec out today (Sunday) because our unit quit cooling us yesterday. We were very pleased with the level of service, professionalism, and knowledge that they brought to the table.
Not only did they provide service with a smile, they provided the good, bad, and ugly of what might happen to our unit in the future and how we could properly run our heat pump to maintain the life of it as long as possible.
As I told them today, I will keep their number handy for when we do need future service or if we need to recommend to a friend.
