Wilson Glass is a local company with national recognition for our innovative designs. We are a 3rd generation licensed C-17 glazing contracting company owned and operated in Berkeley, California. We are the Bay Area experts for non-standard glass projects. All of our installations are custom. We are happy to do jobs as small as putty window glass replacements and as large as 50-foot tall art glass installations.
If you can dream it, we can create it. The most common reason to stop by our shop is to drop off items needing glass replacement, or to pick up will call orders. We have a one day turn around on mirrors and annealed glass if the glass edges don't need to be polished. Insulated glass units and tempered glass with no fabrication typically have a two day turnaround.
Most items are received in about a week. Another common reason people drop in is to get replacement shower parts and vinyl. We have a large selection of vinyl seals and sweeps for frameless enclosures in stock. Parts and vinyl for framed enclosures need to be ordered.

My wife & I engaged Wilson Glass for a small job (2 bathroom mirrors). The fellow who came out to take measurements (?Jason) didn't seem to believe in wearing a mask, which we thought was a bit inconsiderate. In contrast, Ken & Aaron who later did the actual installation were correctly masked from the start, very courteous, careful (e.g., in applying silicone caulking to seal the mirror edge from water intrusion) & efficient. They were great ambassadors for the business, & we'd very gladly have them back again for any future projects!

I'm an architect and I've worked with many glass dealers. I've used Wilson Glass a couple of times now and been disappointed both times. Rather grumpy service, even when spending a lot of money. I had to repeatedly call to ask for a promised proposal. When I finally got the proposal, it seemed really high, but my client was still interested in moving forward. I ended up contacting the manufacturer to ask a question, and when they heard the details of my proposal, they were aghast. Wilson Glass installed seamless glass on our large deck overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.
The new system replaced our vertical wood connecters and made it seem that there was actually no surface at all protecting the deck. It is stunning!!
The best part about using Wilson is that they came back to make a minor repair and notified us that they thought the "shoe" holding the glass should have longer bolts to ensure the stability.
They came and replaced them at no charge. Only a Company with great integrity and leadership would take an action like this. By the way we had competitive bids

I purchased a new desk for my vanity area and wanted to get a 40" x 20" piece of tempered glass to protect the desktop - no frills (like padded feet) necessary. I got quotes from a number of different vendors around the Bay Area and found a huge amount of difference.

When Wilson installed glass for our new stall shower in late Nov 2015, they readily offered me a 'senior discount' when I asked about it. We saved $200 that way. The crew who installed the glass arrived on time and were pleasant, courteous, and efficient in doing the job.

When I walked into their shop I was not having a good day. Our contractor was a nightmare so I decided to take care of the shower doors myself. The woman who helped me made it all very easy and clear (oh look, a pun!). Fast forward two weeks and I have glass doors on two stall showers. The workmen were quick, courteous, kept a clean job site. I'd hire these guys in a heart beat.

This company might be really disorganized as a whole or it's just one person that is continuously bringing them down. Yelp follow up feels intimidating towards any customer with a critical review (which is understandable that there would be some after my experience). Hopefully they can learn from this and be a bit more organized.

Started out great. Wonderful communication with Vickie in the office and the measuring guy was prompt and polite. Their bid was within $5 of another contractor's and hundreds less than a couple of others. Because of their friendliness I decided to go with them. Vickie called back and said that, because of the glass size, they'd need to add $85 for a 3rd installer. Well...OK. (at this point, I should have checked back with the other low-price guy). Installation day and the 3rd guy sat in the truck on his phone the ENTIRE TIME of the install (25 minutes). The two installers held the glass

I've used WG for a couple of our home projects and have been continually impressed. Not just with their expertise and advice, but with their product, customer service and aftercare.
I'm not sure how the unhappy reviewers concluded that their customer service was lacking,... I had the complete opposite experience: WG has always been friendly and responsive. Looking at those unsatisfied reviewer a little closer, you'll notice all they've done is moan on Yelp. Shame. Keep up the good work WG.!
