The A/C tech came to look at my unit very quickly, checked the thermometer and told me right away everything was fine. I asked why there was a red light flashing in my unit and how to fix (even if I had to pay extra) and he said that that was normal, when I know very well it's not. I asked a couple of times and he just repeated it was normal and there was nothing he could do about it. Then he spent about 15 in his car and brought me a form. That was all he did.

I used this company a few years ago to install an AC unit on the second floor of my house. I was happy with the work. Recently, the unit shuts off and needs to be unclogged frequently. I needed them to come out but you have to pay a $75 + credit card fee of 3% even when using a debit card... THIS IS WRONG. Anyway, I paid the fee. The worker came out and said the job to unclog the drain would be $170- $75 deposit was $95. I had cash of $100 but they need the exact money before the worker could start the work. I was going to go get the exact money, they said the tech can not wait for me to go get

Robert came to my home, on time, did a complete evaluation of my A/C unit and all ductwork in the attic. He diagnosed my problem was the coils in the air handler were heavily clogged/dirty, so he recommended they be acid washed. The next day a crew from South Cooling came to do the job. They were professional and took time to explain why and how they would clean the coils and improve my A/C's performance.

They sent a technician 8 days after I asked for service from American Home Shield. He arrived and couldn't diagnose problem without making numerous phone calls. He then set the unit to defrost and left stating he would be back. I soon found water flooding my apartment. Calling customer service to have him back was a complete disaster despite him causing a flood. They said it was too late to send anyone else out. The technician was extremely efficient and did a thorough job! Water was leaking into the overflow pan, but was at the point of over flowing. He drained the area and cleaned everything, including the unit outside. I highly recommended them.

I really wish I could give less than one star. We had no air conditioning here in Florida for here in Florida for several days and could not get them to fix the problem. They were rude, they replaced our thermostat with the crappy us cheapest thermostat available, which didn't work, told us they were going to come back for two days because they were too busy even though we were living in 92° in our home for days. When they did come back they found it wasn't the thermostat, but the unit needed a nine dollar part, which they wouldn't replace until they got an OK from American Home

When my a/c unit stopped working last week, I contacted my home warranty company, who assigned South Cooling to my case. The technician arrived the very next day, on time, and very quickly troubleshot and diagnosed the problem. A part had to be ordered and a return visit was scheduled.
On the appointed day, the team of technicians again arrived in a timely manner and made the neccessary repairs to my condensing unit, replaced a drier and added refrigerant. Now my a/c works better than ever and for a minimal cost of the freon, which my home warranty policy doesn't cover.

South Cooling was assigned to us via American Home Shield (AHS). We have used them twice--each time for repair of blower motors. The first unit was serviced in 11/19 and the second unit finished as of today. In each instance customer service has been excellent. My interactions with schedulers and customer service have always been helpful.
We have had 4 separate technicians. Each arrived in a timely manner and were polite and professional. Our recent technicians wore masks and gloves and maintained social distance.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. American home shield sent this company to fix my ac. Long story short I went a little over a month with no AC in 90 degree Florida heat. They came out to my house a total of 5 times each time it was something different. They finally had to order a compressor (which I told them from the beginning was the problem) only to install it and it STILL didn't work. I finally called American home shield and had them send out another company AAA appliances and miraculously they managed to fix my problem in a few days. They ended up having to order an NEW

South Cooling, how does this company even operate in this city. My brother had to use them because he has American Homeshield, unbelievably incompetent, ignorant and rude. They have been to his house 4 times in the last 90 days, every time it's something different, cant fix this , have to replace that or its too old. They also said that American Homeshield would not replace the the unit, but American told me they would. Those are some of the excuses they use. Lastly, yesterday they said the manager would go by the house today at 8:30am, when the wife realized at 9:00am they hadn't gone

Do NOT call this company!! The only reason we called this company is because our Landlord has American Home Shield. The a/c runs 24/7 and doesn't cool. Over $300 monthly electric bill. The first tech sat out in my driveway for 45 minutes texting on his phone. I called the company BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE by the way..I cancelled while he was still in my driveway. We had a second tech come out the same week..he was a total idiot he said there's nothing wrong with the A/C he blamed it not cooling on this heat we are having. The next 2 days the A/c froze over. I called them to advise them that their technician, Renaldo, came to my house and did a horrible job replacing my air handler. Instead of replacing the pieces, he chose the lazy way and patched it. Well, he did a terrible job and it completely came apart in less than 6 months. I spoke with Yaima, who further showed why this company is useless. She said I needed to file a claim with my home warranty company and they were refusing to come out to fix the half assed

We are also victims of the inadequate work and service of South Cooling LLC. So far it has taken over SIX VISITS to solve the problem. Each time they show up, we have to take time off work and it's a huge inconvenience for us. Even though the problem has been identified, I guess South Cooling prefers to collect money from American Home Shield (our insurance co.) instead of actually finishing the repair. Gus Diaz, the owner, hides behind the phone and fails time and time again to provide good service. He does not care about his company, but rather seems to just be enjoying collecting money

If I could give negative ratings I would. Repairs take almost 2 weeks, where other companies can do the same work in a day.
Hired another AC company, who had to replace work that was done by South Cooling and parts that they had not replaced (but should have) failed causing the newly installed AC unit, which the second company had installed, to fail.

I'll begin by saying that the only reason I'm even using this company is because my home warranty company (American home shield) hired them to fix the issue with my central A/C.
Every single person that I've spoken to from this company is completely incompetent. Not to mention their customer service is absolutely horrendous. They have had to come out 3 different times to install a new compressor, then uninstall it because it wasn't working (I believe it was a used one), then install a different one, and now possibly uninstall that one because it's not working either.

Seriously reprehensible outfit that I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. They are incredibly lazy, wasted almost 2 weeks of my and my tenant's time, and THE PROBLEM WAS STILL NEVER ADDRESSED!!! I had an older AC unit and was having issues on and off for a while. Recently I had South Cooling come out to the house and give me an estimate for a repair. A friend of mine recommended them to me. When I called their office to set up an appointment they were very professional and were able to accommodate me right away. AHS sent this company out to my home for repair. After a week and installing what they claim was new parts the AC still does not work and will not hold Freon. They want $200 for Freon that leaked out immediately after they left even after I asked if they tested the system before the added Freon. Stay away, run away. There are thousands of reputable companies in south Florida to hand le your repair.

You are better off spontaneously combusting from heat exhaustion than to deal with this joke of a company. Waited 3 days with no a/c for my appointment and no one showed or returned the 15 messages I left. The only reason I even dealt with this company was because of my home shield "protection" plan.
