Refrigerator Maintenance Tips At least once a year clean the condenser coils. If you have pets you want to do this twice a year. If you have many pets that shed you might want to do this even more often. You'll need a vacuum cleaner with a hose, a condenser brush available from me or any local appliance parts store, and perhaps a phillips screwdriver or 1/4 or 5/16 nut driver.
Range Maintenance Tips If your range has a push-button digital control you should never spray or pour any type of cleaner or liquid directly on that surface. Apply the cleaning agent to a soft cloth, work it in a little so there is no excess, and use that to clean the control surface. Liquids can seep behind the control pad and wreak havoc on the interface and control board.
Washing Machine Maintenance Tips You're probably using too much detergent. How do I know? Almost everyone does. Use too much detergent that is. The detergent companies thank you. For lightly soiled clothing such as from everyday wear all you really need is two or three tablespoons of detergent in a top load washer.
Dryer Maintenance Tips Always clean the lint filter between loads If the lint filter is torn or has any holes it needs to be replaced If you use dryer sheets you need to clean the lint filter periodically. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets are essentially waxing or oiling your clothes and this material will build up on the very fine lint filter slowly clogging it.
Dishwasher Maintenance Tips IMPORTANT:Your dishwasher needs hot water to work. There is a lot of pipe between your water heater and the dishwasher, pipe that is full of room temperature or cooler water. If you simply start up the dishwasher it will draw in all that before the good 'n hot stuff arrives from the water heater.

I needed my washer fixed. I put out several requests for service and Dave was one of the last I sent a message to, but the first to respond (Only received one other response, but I was already working with Dave) His ability to come out all hours makes my life much easier, as I have a crazy schedule. Dave was able to come out to our home with a sense of urgency after our dryer went kaput. I really appreciated how quickly he was able to fit us into his busy schedule and especially b/c it was brutally hot outside and he was swamped already with work. He assessed the issue and referred us to Dryer Vent Wizard. He didn't try to rip us off by offering unnecessary repairs. He didn't even charge us the service fee he normally charges b/c he was only at our home for 10 mins before he said it was a dryer vent issue. We still gave him $30 to thank him for his time. Called David’s appliance Monday morning when our dryer didn’t sound right. Left a message and finally heard back on Wednesday night. Said he’d be over between 5-7pm on Thursday. Called at 7:15 to say he was running late but was coming soon. Called again at 8:00pm to say he was still coming. Finally at 8:40 I called and told him we would find someone else. He told me good luck and hung up. Rude.

He picked up his phone on a Sunday after two rings. He assessed my situation, and he gave me advice. The refrigerator I had wasn't worth fixing. He gave me advice about the next refrigerator I should buy. The truth is, he could have come out and charged me to inspect the old refrigerator. However, he just gave me the reality of the situation. If anything goes wrong with any of my appliances this will be the first person I call. I highly recommend him.

I had a problem with a gas clothes dryer and the internal gas valve. David answered my call and said he often worked evenings when people are home. He called enroute and arrived 20:00, problem solved and repaired in 10 minutes with a common valve part he had on his truck, for a only a very reasonable trip charge. Friendly, efficient, personable, knowledgeable. Zero hassle, convenient to my schedule.

I called David's appliance this morning. He called me back immediately with the cost of an estimate and service visit. He told me that if the cost of the repair exceeded or came close to the cost of replacement he would let me know to just replace my dryer. David came in on the time we established. How awesome is that? He fixed my dryer far under what it would have cost me to replace it. Plus, he explained everything he was doing while he was fixing it. Love that. I trust him completely and his prices were excellent even with same day service. I would not hesitate to call him again.

I put an inquiry out for an appliance repair service on a neighborhood website. David responded immediately and offered to help. He researched the problem before he arrived. He gave us an estimate over the phone based on what he thought was wrong. He was pleasant and polite. He was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. I would have given 5 stars for this one experience, however, I didn't get an itemized receipt or receipt at all. He didn't need to use any parts to fix it and I am not quite clear if he is a fixed rate service, if he charges hourly, or even what his hourly
