BEWARE - CRIMINALS. We contracted with a seemingly reputable national moving company and did a two-hour walk-through with that company listing every single item in every room to produce an accurate quote. Unbeknownst to us, that moving company subbed the job to Stop and Move. The crew from Stop and Move showed up to our house, initially acted very friendly toward my family as I ran out the door to an appointment, and immediately began packing. BEWARE!!! This mover is the worst and a fraud and extortion case against them has been reported to the Attorney General. The driver also made criminal threats and was stupid enough to put these in writing (via text). The company website (www.stopandmove.net) links to what looks like an actual moving company but the driver arrived in a Budget rental truck and the business address links to a $1.6 million private residence at 21 Edgewood St, Tenafly, NJ 07670. The driver/packers are all from Eastern Europe and can barely communicate in English. The move was a costly disaster.

I did a long distance move. They broke my expensive tv. The supervisor assured me the packing was good enough. But upon arrival the side of the tv was cracked and the whole display was broken. They do not take enough care about your things. Once they get your business they are all in a hurry to get your money and disappear. Do not fall for this trick again.

My move was based on space taken in the truck, and these guys took up plenty of space - no effort was put into fitting things inside of each other so the cost blew up fast. Also, after nearly a year, my deposit check was presented to be cashed a SECOND time. They allowed someone to try to steal over $4,000 from me by holding onto a check and not destroying it after depositing.

DO NOT USE. Overall process was terrible- the cost of the move was well over $1000 extra than quoted for, and that was just the beginning. We were told our things would arrive in two days. They came after two weeks and every time we called the office, there was absolutely no information on where the truck was or even a roundabout answer on when it would arrive.
When the truck did arrive, it was NOT the truck I loaded my things into. It was about twice the size and we had an awful time trying to get this 18-wheeler into my apartment complex. They destroyed hedges and landscaping- incredibly embarrassing

Cardinal Van Lines is a broker & contracts out to others. We were stuck with Stop & Move. Quoted a price, just under $3,000, but knew it was going to be more, but not $10,000+. Our original quote was for 350 cu ft. At pick up it was put at 1,000 cubic feet. The interesting part was that everything fit into an 800 cubic foot unit with room to spare. I would estimates I was overcharged by at least 35%.
Very emphatic repeatedly that we were putting it in a storage unit that could only handle 26

We've lost everything we've ever worked for to this company and they will not deliver on their binding contract. They were supposed to deliver our household items over a month ago and every time I call they say it will be 5-8 days. I feel violated in the worst way.

Very bad experience. They agreed to deliver my household items within 7 days and took almost a month to deliver. When I asked for the delay they said it is due to long distance move from NJ to Utah. Plus they lost my music system and some small items from my boxes. The driver was so rude and he did not agree to drop the items close my apartment building thought the roads were so wide. I called the company to ask about my lost item, they said they will call me back in 2 weeks. Never received any call back. So I called them to find out and the person on the called transfered me to claims department

At all costs avoid this company. A broker company hired this one star company who picked up our belongings for an out of state move over a month ago. We have been calling every week with no ETA. The manager Kimberly has hung up the phone multiple times on my family when trying to get an ETA or location of our belongings. This has been a nightmare move that is still not over. If you look up the company on FMCSA they have only ONE registered truck and have had multiple complaints filed. Not only did our things take 2.5 MONTHS to arrive, I was not even able to get any information about the location, status, ETA, etc. from the company. Kimberly is arguably the most rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional person I have ever had to deal with. I was hung up on, put on hold for over 30 minutes, and routinely ignored. I pride myself on being affable and courteous to people who are in customer service since I know they deal with a lot of crap. If you lookup the address for stop and move LLC you will find that it's a residence and not a business location. The Tenafly PD is well aware of them but doesn't know how to find them.

When they were loading my items for the move, I was informed that the cubic footage would be a lot more than I was originally quoted. As soon as he walked in, Yaniv looked at the furniture, and immediately added an extra $900 to the amount I was quoted for on the phone. Just by eyeballing. No measurements were taken and nothing was outside of the original description and quote that I made with All American. Yaniv also insisted everything needs to be paid in cash.

I hired Cross Country Moving Group out of Del Ray, Florida. They offer a great holiday special to move my goods from Connecticut to North Carolina. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.
They are not a moving company.
They provided a low quote to lock me in, and, they are nothing more then a broker to make a sale. I went with them, and at the time of the move, they hired a third party moving company, Stop and Move, which increase the moving price by 3x

This company Stop and Move was very helpful in moving my furniture and boxes from PA to NJ, about a month ago. I didn't know about them until the broker I hired (obviously didn't know they were a broker) hired them. I looked up the company and got scared bcuz of some bad reviews but i couldn't cancel the move a day before. Anyways, I was moving from a one bedroom apartment to a storage in Leesburg, NJ.
