I recently moved into a mid century colonial. Greg and his team diagnosed not only the underlying issues with the fireplace, but with the overall venting of the home. They constructed a plan, fixed and installed long term solutions to keep the home vented, and proceeded to install not only a great wood stove in the old fireplace opening, but install an insulated liner and stone ledger application with a floating reclaimed wood mantle. I was in need of a chimney inspection and cleaning, and after having a couple different companies provide initial inspections and quotes, My B-S meter was on high due to one of the quotes being insanely high and suggesting horrific damage. I decided to look for a local company off of the Angies List / Home Advisor network as the other companies seemed sketchy, and I started to doubt all the glowing reviews based on my own experience.

NOT THE SAME COMPANY ANY LONGER: These folks replaced the guts of my gas fireplace in 2018. I was so happy with the work and service they provided. Gary one of the owners, has since left the company and they are moving their offices to the Main Line.. I called a month in advance to make an appointment to turn on the pilot and clean/prep for fall/winter. It took three phone calls to try to get an appointment only to be told they only service gas fireplace units on Thursday's. I guess since Gary is gone so went their customer service. If you can't be home on a Thursday to have your unit serviced

Greg and team came by and gave me multiple estimates for our chimney (c. 1950s) with visible chunks of brick and mortar missing from 50+ years of wear and tear. His team decided to only caulk the J channels (for $300 - gougers), and left 6 big gaping holes untouched. Fast forward two months later, we get a leak in the ceiling caused by these holes that should have been filled back when they came by to caulk perfectly fine J channels. Lessons learned: 1) do not trust contractors to do a job right; 2) always inspect after they say "work is done"; 3) just do the job yourself.

Elite Fireplace is the absolute best. I had them install our wood burning insert last year and they did a fantastic job. Gary and the team are professional, honest and all around good guys. I could not be happier with the job. I had them back for a cleaning this summer and received the same great service from Mike. Then (this morning) they went WAY above and beyond. We had an issue with the flue (having nothing to do with their quality work) and they came by the next day and fixed it quickly and free of charge. I would recommend them to anyone for any of your stove needs.

I called about 4 or 5 other fireplace companies before deciding to go with Elite Fireplace. We had to re-line the chimney for safety and decided to install a wood insert and replace the hearth at the same time.
