Catalyst designed and built a screen porch addition to our home and it was the best decision we ever made. They took care of everything, were reliable, proactive, and the quality of the work is something every visitor notices. Catylist was referred to us by UB kitchens for our kitchen remodel. Alex did an excellent job of managing the contractors to ensure each job was done with the upmost quality while staying on schedule so the project was finished on time. Any issues that did arise he was sure to address it right away. They provided a detailed estimate so there were no surprises, and they even allowed us to do some of the work ourselves so we could stay within our budget. There was excellent communication throughout the entire project and they were flexible with us as were struggled to make decisions. We

We did a kitchen remodel selecting UB Kitchens for our cabinets. After talking with several contractors that UB Kitchen customers had recommended we decided to go with Catalyst Construction as our general contractor.
It started with Alex (and Max) coming out and looking at our project. Not only were we going to do the kitchen but also new hardwood flooring through out our house, new lighting and some other electrical updates.

I couldn't be happier with Alex and his team at Catalyst Construction!! I recently bought a home in Austin that needed quite a bit of work. After meeting with a number of contractors, I finally had the pleasure of meeting Alex at Catalyst. Immediately I was pleased with his upfront honesty and willingness to help. We've had the privilege in hiring & working with Jason Box and the Catalyst Construction team on 4 separate projects:
-creating entrance to our media room from living room, installing tile flooring;
-kitchen facelift;
-home paint job; and
-a complete rebuild/remodel of home after flooding.
Our home flooded this August and it completely devastated our little family of 4. In working with the insurance company, mortgage company, property adjusters, water mitigation, plumbers, temporary housing - my husband were left exhausted...completely exhausted.
There was no question in our mind

We had Jason and his crew remodel our downstairs. This project included painting all the walls, putting in new laminate flooring, remodeling the kitchen counters and installation of quartz counter tops, adding cabinets and shelves to our existing cabinets, tile in the laundry room, and installing new lighting.

Jason / Catalyst Construction did a complete remodel of a condominium my husband and I own in ATX, in late 2012. I'm writing this review in 2015, because every time I enter our condo even now I am thrilled with the way it looks. It housed our three children while they attended college; when the youngest graduated, the wear and tear of years of college living showed. We were recently referred to Jason Box at Catalyst by UB Kitchens. We called several contracters to come out and given us bids to redo our kitchen and master bath. Jason was the only one who gave us a written bid, returned all our calls and continued to be on time and resposive the entire time we worked with him and his crew. Jason was calm and organize - he had everything under control and kept the process moving along smoothly. All of Jason trades came in on time, were professional and cleaned up after themselves. We contracted Catalyst to do a mix of work that included structural work as well as cosmetic. I was initially very impressed. The walk through was quick, Jason seemed to have a good grasp of the work scope.
There were a number of issues I wanted, some enhancement work and a reinforcement of some open trusses supporting the second floor. It took a while to work through the contract and price. Frankly I felt like the original number I got was fair, but every time we talked about other items, the price grew geometrically, ultimately leading to a proposed quote of four hundred dollars to paint

My wife and I found Jason when looking to do a variety of work in our new (1950s) house in central Austin. The type of work required electricity, woodwork, demolition, and other various changes. Jason did an excellent job of reviewing each of the changes we needed - providing various options along with pricing for each of those options. His team completed the work professionally and early!

Jason is the most on-the-ball home improvement professional I have ever had the pleasure of working with and that is a bold statement considering all of the work we have had done to our home. While remodeling our master bathroom, he paid close attention to detail, communicated well, kept everything on schedule, and in our budget.
